I love 'Murders in the Rue Morgue' by Iron Maiden, so badass ;D
I remember it as plain as day although it happened in the dark of the night I was strolling through the streets of Paris, and it was cold it was starting to rain And then I heard a piercing scream and I rushed to the scene of the crime but all I found was the butchered remains of two girls lay side by side
Murders in the Rue Morgue, someone call the Gendarmes Murders in the Rue Morgue, leave before the killers go free
There's some people coming down the street, at last there's someone heard my call I can't understand why they're pointing at me, I never done nothing at all But I must have got some blood on my hands because everyone's shouting at me I can't speak French so I couldn't explain and like a fool I started running away
Murders in the Rue Morgue, someone call the Gendarmes Murders in the Rue Morgue, am I ever gonna be free
And now I've gotta get away from the arms of the law, all of France is looking for me I've gotta find my way across the border for sure, down the south to Italy
Murders in the Rue Morgue, someone call the Gendarmes Murders in the Rue Morgue, I'm never going home.
Well I made it to the border at last, but I can't erase the scene from my mind Anytime somebody stares at me, well I just start running blind Well I'm moving through the shadows at night, away from the staring eyes Any day they'll be looking for me 'cause I know I show the signs of...
Murders in the Rue Morgue, running from the Gendarmes Murders in the Rue Morgue, running from the arms of the law
Murders in the Rue Morgue, running from the Gendarmes Murders in the Rue Morgue, am I ever gonna be free
It took so long and I'm getting so tired, I'm running out of places to hide Should I return to the scene of the crime where the two young victims died If I could go to somebody for help, it'd get me out of trouble for sure But I know that it's on my mind that my doctor said I've done it before
Murders in the Rue Morgue, they're never gonna find me Murders in the Rue Morgue, I'm never going home.

This is one of my favourite songs. Daughtry "All these lives" Doesn't come down when she calls, "It's time for breakfast." Momma can't get down those halls Fast enough to see Glass is sprayed across the floor From the broken window. She can't breathe anymore. Can't deny what we know. They're gonna find you, just believe. You're not a person; you're a disease. All these lives that you've been taking, Deep inside, my heart is breaking. Broken homes from separation. Don't you know it's violation? It's so wrong, but you'll see. Never gonna let you take my world from me. The world outside these walls may know you're breathing, But you ain't comin' in. You ain't comin' in. Posters hung on building walls Of missing faces. Months go by without the cause, The clues, or traces. Shed the light on all the ones who never thought they would become A father, mother asking why this world can be so cold. Doesn't come down when she calls, "It's time for breakfast." The memories begin to fall. She asks, "When will I be free?" All these lives that you've been taking, Deep inside, my heart is breaking. Broken homes from separation. Don't you know it's violation? It's so wrong, but you'll see. Never gonna let you take my world from me. The world outside these walls may know you're breathing, But you ain't comin' in. All these lives that you've been taking, Deep inside, my heart is breaking. All these lives that you've been taking, Deep inside, my heart is breaking. All these lives that you've been taking, Deep inside, my heart is breaking. The world outside these walls may know you're breathing, The world outside these walls may know you're breathing, But you ain't comin' in.

Auburn- by Gatsby's Green Light
Your eyes fill like dark skies Cutting me down in my own Letting me see the endless highs Calling me on staticy black phones
I see brown swirls, endless whirls, and auburn...
In the shadows of a darkened city I roam on lonely nights Searching for ice rinks of pity Climbing your heart to such heights
and I see those eyes, those lonely, lonely eyes. If only I could be with you then I'd be fine.
You stop and take photos, the world passing through you Socializing is one of your old foes Two hearts cry and break in two.
and I see those eyes, those lonely, lonely eyes. If only I could be with you then I'd be fine.
Time stops on a Sunday morning As we sip coffee and eat scones. The distance isn't the only sin As I sit and watch your soul's tones.
Brown swirls, endless whirls, and auburn...

Marooned by The Gathering
I know I'm from a lesser tribe I suppose the range of my intelligence is way too wide
And you don't see me 'cause I don't have much to say
My emotional outlet is consuming the better part of me And apart from the wrong words a tortured cry is making me see
That you don't see me 'cause I don't have much to say
hours and hours of jealousy are passing me by Although hollow silence is the only wave going through your brain
And you don't see me 'cause I don't have much to say

Hey, I like Supertramp also. The Logical Song is my favourite from supertramp, but I heard Give a Little Bit (remade by Goo Goo Dolls) before that.

George Harrison, "Any Road"
I've been traveling on a boat and a plane In a car on a bike with a bus and a train Traveling there, traveling here Everywhere in every gear
But oh Lord we pay the price With the spin of the wheel with the roll of the dice Ah yeah you pay your fare And if you don't know where you're going Any road will take you there
And I've been traveling through the dirt and the grime From the past to the future through the space and the time Traveling deep beneath the waves In watery grottoes and mountainous caves
But oh Lord we've got to fight With the thoughts in the head with the dark and the light No use to stop and stare And if you don't know where you're going Any road will take you there
You may not know where you came from May not know who you are May not have even wondered How you got this far
I've been traveling on a wing and a prayer By the skin of my teeth, by the breadth of a hair Traveling where the four winds blow With the sun on my face, in the ice and the snow
But ooh-wee, it's a game Sometimes you're cool, sometimes you're lame Ah yeah it's somewhere And if you don't know where you're going Any road will take you there
But oh Lord, we pay the price With the spin of the wheel with the roll of the dice Ah yeah you pay your fare And if you don't know where you're going Any road will take you there
I keep traveling around the bend There was no beginning, there is no end It wasn't born and never dies There are no edges, there is no sides
Oh yeah you just don't win It's so far out, the way out is in Bow to God and call him Sir But if you don't know where you're going Any road will take you there

asleep by the smiths
Sing me to sleep Sing me to sleep I'm tired and I I want to go to bed Sing me to sleep Sing me to sleep And then leave me alone Don't try to wake me in the morning 'Cause I will be gone Don't feel bad for me I want you to know Deep in the cell of my heart I will feel so glad to go Sing me to sleep Sing me to sleep I don't want to wake up On my own anymore Sing to me Sing to me I don’t want to wake up On my own any more Don't feel bad for me I want you to know Deep in the cell of my heart I really want to go There is another world There is a better world Well, there must be Well, there must be Bye bye

Lines that for some ridiculous reason stick in my head- " I got two tickets to Iron Maiden baby, come with me Friday, don't say maybe... " by Wheatus " Try to say goodbye and I choke, try to walk away and I stumble" Macy Gray

TRUSTcompany - Downfall
Fear in me so deep it gets the best of me, In the fear I fall, here it comes face to face with me, Here I stand, hold back so no one can see, I feel these wounds, step down, step down, step down.
(am I) Breaking Down Can I break away Push me away, make me fall, Just to see, another side of me, Push me away, you can see, what I see, the other side of me.
Fall back on me, and I'll be the strength I need, to save me now, just come face to face with me, stay in place you'll be the first to see, me heal these wounds, step down, step down, step down, down
I'm not breaking, down can I break away push me away, make me fall, just to see another side of me, push me away you can see, what I see, the other side of me
Go!
Fall, can I break away push me away, make me fall, just to see another side of me, push me away you can see, what I see, the other side of me
No one can see anything on the other side of me I walk, I crawl, losing everything and waiting for the downfall No one can see everything on the other side of me I walk, I crawl losing everything on the downfall. Downfall, Fall.

just because ~ mary chapin carpenter have you ever loved someone you knew nothing of except you'd seen the light inside their eyes have you ever loved someone just because nothing felt so easy or so right That's awesome Two verses from Only A Matter Of Time by Dream Theater: A father's benediction as his hopeful son departs to brave the sea of rage and conquer at all costs lingers in his memory and visions still surviving in a logic-proof shell that should have been held sacred, safe and hidden well are compromised in usury With every rising sun that yields no sight of land the hesitation cultivates within the tired man and rumors spread of mutiny and though the time will come when dream and day unite tonight the only consolation causing him to fight is fearless faith in destiny

Keith Murray - Santa Baby
On December 25th I knew I wasn't getting jack when I saw Santa Claus on the corner buying crack I ran up on him with the gat and asked him "yo whats up with that?" He said "the grinch that stole christmas" and I can't get him back Back in the days, Christmas was deep My moms put presents under the tree while I played sleep And peeped ha! Santa Claus never gave me nuthin Seen them mad faces, lying and frontin So do some good to the ghetto, Mr. Chris Kringle Come and stay awhile, kick it with God's Angel They can acknowledge my wisdom and understand That Santa Claus is a black man!

This song has played on the radio so much. It is such a purvey song and I hate it. lol
Happy Holiday Happy Holiday While the merry bells keep ringing May your every wish come true
Happy Holiday Happy Holiday May the calendar keep bringing Happy Holidays to you
It's the holiday season And Santa Claus is coming back The Christmas snow is white on the ground When old Santa gets into town He'll be coming down the chimney, down Coming down the chimney, down
It's the holiday season And Santa Claus has got a toy For every good girl and good little boy He's a great big bundle of joy He'll be coming down the chimney, down Coming down the chimney, down
He'll have a big fat pack upon his back And lots of goodies for you and me So leave a peppermint stick for old St. Nick Hanging on the Christmas tree
It's the holiday season With the whoop-de-do and hickory dock And don't forget to hang up your sock "Cause just exactly at 12 o'clock He'll be coming down the chimney Coming down the chimney Coming down the chimney, down!
Happy Holiday Happy Holiday While the merry bells keep bringing Happy Holidays to you
Happy Holiday Happy Holiday May the calendar keep bringing Happy Holidays to you To you Happy Holiday

Wonderful World by James Morrison
I love this song, probably because I can relate to it so much.
I've been down so low People look at me and they know They can tell something is wrong Like I don't belong
Staring through a window Standing outside, they're just too happy to care tonight I want to be like them But I'll mess it up again
I tripped on my way in And got kicked outside, everybody saw...
And I know that it's a wonderful world But I can't feel it right now Well I thought that I was doing well But I just want to cry now Well I know that it's a wonderful world From the sky down to the sea But I can only see it when you're here, here with me
Sometimes I feel so full of love It just comes spilling out It's uncomfortable to see I give it away so easily But if I had someone I would do anything I'd never, never, ever let you feel alone I won't I won't leave you, on your own
But who am I to dream? Dreams are for fools, they let you down...
And I know that it's a wonderful world But I can't feel it right now Well I thought that I was doing well But I just want to cry now Well I know that it's a wonderful world From the sky down to the sea But I can only see it when you're here, here with me
And I wish that I could make it better I'd give anything for you to call me, or maybe just a little letter Oh, we could start again
And I know that it's a wonderful world But I can't feel it right now Well I thought that I was doing well But I just want to cry now Well I know that it's a wonderful world From the sky down to the sea But I can only see it when you're here, here with me
And I know that it's a wonderful world I can't feel it right now I got all the right clothes to wear I just want to cry now Well I know that it's a wonderful world From the sky down to the sea But I can only see it when you're here, here with me
And I know that it's a wonderful world When you're with me

Bethany Joy Lenz - Halo
I never promised you a ray of light I never promised there’d be sunshine every day I’ll give you everything I have The good the bad
Why do you put me on a pedestal? I’m so up high that I can’t see the ground below So help me down you’ve got it wrong I don’t belong there
Chorus: One thing is clear I wear a halo I wear a halo when you look at me But standing from here You wouldn’t say so You wouldn’t say so if you were me And I, I just want to love you Oh I, I just want to love you
I always said that I would make mistakes I’m only human and that’s my saving grace I’ll fall as hard as I try So don’t be blinded See me as I really am I have flaws and sometimes I even sin So pull me from that pedestal I don’t belong there
[Chorus]
Like to think that you know me But in your eyes I am something above me That's only in your mind Only in your mind
I wear a, I wear a, I wear a Halo
[Chorus]
(I just wanna love you) Heya Hey Hey Hey…Hey Hey Halo Heya Hey Hey Hey…Hey Hey Halo Heya Hey Hey Hey…Hey Hey Halo Heya Hey Hey Hey…Hey Hey Halo
