First off, I immensely enjoyed reading the lists here. Zaab, I like the way you think in these lists:). Some of the other lists in here had me in stitches, lol (had to say, loool).
Sorry guys, but this turned out to be Tremendously Looooong (thought I'd better warn ya first):
Well well well! I love list making too, but haven't done it in awhile, except for the dreaded to-do list of course. Some are of course going to be lame, but what the heck ehhhh? lol.
Might be lots, so you know what to do hahaha....
My own personal top 5 lists of course.
My top 5 fave bands (all but no. 1 subject to change):
Rush (was there any doubt, lol)
Styx
Pink Floyd
Tears for Fears (probably will be taken off for a replacement when my mood changes, lol)
ABC (same as 4)
My Fave older tv (adventure, scifi, etc.) shows:
Obviously Trek OS (Captain Kirk for those not up on Trek)
Six Million Dollar Man (have one DVD of the series now)
Thunderbirds (yeah puppets and I go way back hehe)
Twilight Zone (dad would have called this one of the "weird" ones, lol)
The StarLost (another 70s series, well in Canada, eh? lol. Incidentally, Walter Koenig, who played Ensign Checkov in the Star Trek OS starred in the StarLost Ep "The Alien Oro" playing the title character.)
My 5 Fave Puppet Master movies:
PM 3 (Toulon's Revenge)
PM 1 (original - 1989)
PM 4 (introduces a new character named Rick (also in pm 5) who works with the Puppets, even playing Lazer Tag at some point with some of them, which was enjoyable to watch. I would have temporarily removed Blade's prosthesis (or whatever) and had him playing Lazer Tag too, though. It really had me in stitches when Blade jumped on Rick's bed and startled Rick lol; and again later on: "Don't STICK me!" - lol.)
PM 5
PM 6 (Curse of) I realize most people detest this one; and for good reason: the ending absolutely sucked. I like this one because it has an air of mystery to it that the viewer absolutely figures out before the girl in it does, lol. That said, they should have made a better ending OR Band should redo it, changing the ending. Note on Puppet Master: imo, for anyone wanting that really gorey stuff, PM2 (his unholy creation) is probably the goriest one of them all. One of the characters got really sick in it (I better not put anything more or more graphic, I know at least one person on this board probably has not the strongest stomach, so I'll be quiet now, lol.) That is why #2 is not listed as one of my top 5, but it is a very interesting PM movie though. If you're craving gore, per se, of all the Puppet Master films, PM2 is the one to watch. PM 2014 (joking here somewhat): Plot: a pm fan wants to become one of the puppets for obvious reasons lol haha. (well I'm trying not to be as mindless - yes I said it, lol! - as I used to be haha). I would call it the Sequel to PM6 (curse of). Those who are familiar with PuppetMaster know how they fiddled around quite a bit with prequels and so forth . Another note: My number lists on pm movies are as they were before all of them were made (since the latest one was just last year: "Axis Rising" another prequel of course). Now there are 4 actual prequels before PM 1, so obviously now they're listed differently on Wikipedia, etc. (for example PM1 is now PM5 because of the 4 prequels).
My 5 favourite snack foods:
POTATO CHIPS hahaha
chocolate anything, but especially bars
garlic fingers!!! (with chocolate for "dessert" lol)
ice cream (but I don't enjoy it as much as chips haha)
cracker sandwiches (when I don't have anything else lol): what I do is take 2 saltines, put margarine between them, dunk them in a cup of tea hehe). I usually use up about half a pkg of saltines which is quite a lot, when I have this "snack attack". (Bananas when I don't have anything else still stands lol)
speaking of bananas, I AM feeling like a little snack (it's a quarter to midnight now) so I will have one now while I continue with this list, lol.
My top 5 books of all time (don't know if I can list just 5, but here goes: I might have to recategorize this list into sub-categories, but anyway...)
Little Women
The Old Curiosity Shop
Pinocchio (yes, I know it's a child's book, but it has deep meaning for me lol. I'd read it over and over and over again when I was in third grade, and now it's just a memory in my mind; but when I go through my life's "adventures" as it were, it comes to mind. I see it as not just a book for kids, but for adults. But not for EVERY adult. Just certain categories of adults, which, unfortunately, I fall into; aaaand (lol wait for it): it's another PUPPET! - hahaha!) In a way, I "am" Pinocchio and in lots of ways I "am" a "puppet", been one for a very long time, unfortunately )
Aesop's Fables (for the same reasons as Pinocchio, except obviously for the first part of my parenthetical words under the Pinocchio entry)
I can't think of a 5th one right now to put here so I'll have to come back to it - IF I can remember to, lol
My 5 fave scifi books:
The Hitch-hiker's Guide to the Galaxy (Adams)
V The Original (by A C Crispin)
Yesterday's Son (same author)
V East Coast Crisis
(oops more brain fog time lol...to be continued)
My 5 fave temperatures:
68
70
72
66
71
My top 5 least fave temperatures (with/(out) humidex):
88
90
86
84
82
My fave 5 musical styles or genres besides strictly either Hard or Metal Rock:
classical (though I haven't been listening to it lately lol)
up-tempo or funky
80s pop esp. bands I mentioned in my earlier top 5 list
Protest-style songs such as the Clash and other similar bands
grunge (well...ok, but I'm putting it here anyway hahaha)
All the lists and PM talk is making me hungry and tired, lol. Gotta find sum crackers or something lol. To be continued... in either a prequel or a sequel (another lame joke from old audio or should I say the new old audio hehe;) lol).
