I'll warn you in advance, this is long! ... College?First year uni ... living with your parents/grandparents? parents ... unemployed? Employed, work 10 hours a week at a video store. It’s not hard but not particularly enthralling either ... married? Nope, and not in a relationship either (never have been ) ... children? No, but would like some one day… ... an escapee from a mental institution? Lol, nah. ... a troll living under a bridge? Human and proud of it! Age? 19 Male or female? female What are your interests? ... hobbies? ... what do you like to do for fun? Just about anything introverted, something to stimulate my mind. Video games (esp. Final Fantasy!), reading (go Harry Potter!), listening to music, surrendering myself to my wonderful and vivid imagination (seriously, it’s like watching a movie in my head, only that I get to decide what happens) Oh, and I like drawing but I haven’t done much of that in a while. What part of the world do you live in? Australia, and I love it! Are you living in a town, or an unincorporated rural area? In a really beautiful, friendly suburb with a beach at the end of the street. Do you like music? ... favorite album? ... favorite song? Music is awesome! Great mind candy! Evanescence all the way! And I love instrumental music too! Too many favourite songs! Favorite movie? I really don’t know to tell you the truth…….. What is the nature of your shyness? ... is it preventing you from achieving your goals in life? ... what ARE your goals in life (if any)? My shyness is preventing me from meeting new people (esp. potential boyfriends), and it prevents me from fully enjoying the opportunities that are available to me. I’ve always been prone to quietness and introversion but never viewed myself as shy until my mid-teens, especially after my mum was diagnosed with depression. I want to just be myself in front of people without being scared. I’m currently doing an Arts/Science degree at university and want to work in the field of psychology but what exactly I don’t know yet. I’d also like to have a family one day, but to get there I’d have to undergo the scary process of dating! What is the nature of your relationship with your parents? Have your parents been able to maintain the viability of their relationship? If they have separated/divorced, how old were you when it happened? ... and did it have a major impact on your own life? My parents are still together and are supportive of me, although I think my mum is a little too overprotective. She’s the most important person in my life and I’m still lucky to have her because there have been quite a few times when I nearly lost her…I appreciate all that my dad does for our family, he’s a hard worker, but I don’t think I really make the effort to get close to him…I don’t know why. I think of myself as a very tolerant person but some of the things my dad does really annoy me, very minor things too like not folding the newspaper properly or something stupid like that. It perplexes me. Also, I don’t think my mum entirely embraces my individually, she doesn’t like change and prefers things to be “normal”. She worries about how I don’t like going to clubs and socialising a whole lot, you know, things that “normal” people would do. I tell her that “normal” people also place a lot of importance on beer and drunkenness, and excessive swearing, all things that I don’t particularly like. Don’t get me wrong though, she thinks I’m wonderful, says so just about everyday. Did you have a strict upbringing? ... are your parents over-protective? I didn’t really have a strict upbringing; my mum is way overprotective though! Any siblings? Yeah, an older sister (I’m taller than her, hehe!), and I don’t want to sound like I’m gloating or anything but I am the smarter (and at times more mature) sibling. But I love her, she great (except for her moments of primitive frustration). We may be too busy to talk to each other much these days but when we do get to talk, it’s really something special. I also feel I can be stupid in front of her too and I know she won’t reject me. How many friends do you have? ... any of them that you would consider "close?" A few years ago I would’ve said six close friends, but now I don’t know how close I consider them to be. I pulled away from them and became more withdrawn after my mum was diagnosed with depression. My best friend went to Germany on an exchange program halfway through last year (she comes back in July) but after she left I didn’t feel like I was really close to anyone. But I also feel guilty that I was the only one out my group of friends that didn’t shed a tear when she left. Also with uni starting and everyone going their separate ways, I haven’t seen some of my friends in a while. I always seem to be too busy working. One night though, over a month ago, one of my friends had a sleep over for our group. My friend confessed to me that out of everyone in our group, she felt that she hardly knew me. We’ve been friends for nearly six years! That’s not something you want to hear from someone whom you consider to be one of your closest friends. I remember thinking to myself ‘can’t you remember how I was before I became so withdrawn?’ but I didn’t know how to reply to her though. She said she wanted to get to know me, nothing much has happened in that department yet. Have you ever been in an intimate relationship? ... still a virgin? No, never had an intimate relationship. I went to a girls’ school so I do have a bit of an excuse aside from my shyness. Not all my friends have had boyfriends either so I don’t feel so bad. But I don’t think I was ready for a relationship while I was still at school (I still question whether I’m ready…) [Were you]/[are you] a target for bullies in school? ... held up for ridicule? I was bullied a bit, but not constantly, it hasn’t had any long-term effects Are you over-weight? ... under-weight? ... physically disfigured? ... handicapped? ... speech impediment? ... poor eyesight (requiring thick glasses)? I’m not fat; I’m not thin. Curvaceous, you could say, but with a small bust. I haven’t decided if I’m good-looking or not; my opinion keeps changing. Speech impediment? Well, sort of, I stutter and stumble over words a bit, and sometimes find it hard to say what I really mean. My eyesight isn’t good, but it’s not so bad that I have to where glasses all the time. My glasses definitely make me look nerdy (but hey, I AM a nerd! ;D ) but I don’t really care much about that now as much as I used to.

What part of the world do you live in? South of Chicago, US Where? I'm original from the south suburbs. Chigago Heights, Matteson, Homewood, that area. That doesn't sound that bad. I'm under the impression that most people are not good in early relationships. but with a small bust. ... My glasses definitely make me look nerdy (but hey, I AM a nerd! ;D ) but I don’t really care much about that now as much as I used to. I'd consider both of those positives, personally. I realize that poor eyesight probably does not correlate with high intelligence, but I still think glasses make a woman look intelligent, which I consider attractive. And, large breasted women might get more attention, but I think a large portion of that attention is related to the fact that you can look at their breasts more in public. In private, I think on the small side is better.

Evarie Fayore: I was just teasin' ;D -- i was kinda looking to get a rise out of Alecto, but she either isn't taking the bait or she hasn't seen the post yet.
I do *hate* that movie though.. somthing about actors trying to sing mainstream music in opera form that makes me want to hurl.. I'd honestly rather sit with my mom and watch "the Sound of Music". (she likes both movies)
Spitzig: I'm surprised you even remember Kankakee if you've been gone since 10.. there's not much worth remembering.

They had a little plate souvenir thing from there in our house(as a kid, probably still), and I think they got it during their honeymoon.

What is the nature of your shyness? ... is it preventing you from achieving your goals in life? ... what ARE your goals in life (if any)? My shyness isn't really preventing me in achieving some of my goals. Im not as shy anymore as I used to be, Im making progress so right now I don't see it as something that is really prohibiting me from achieving goals career wise. My goals career wise is to eventually work in third world countries (preferable the country I was born in) with HIV/Aids patients or children who have lost their parents to Aids. Uhm I would say that my shyness is preventing me from achieving things on a romantic level (but that's gonna change this summer!) with guys. But like I said it's time to change that and I know I can do it. So my goal in that department is to find that guy for me and start a family What is the nature of your relationship with your parents? I think it's okay, they are there for me but it's not like we talk about deep things or anything...unless I initiate it Have your parents been able to maintain the viability of their relationship? Yeah going strong for nearly 22 years If they have seperated/divorced, how old were you when it happened? ... and did it have a major impact on your own life? Did you have a strict upbringing? ... are your parents over-protective? Sort of strict, especially my mother. They aren't overprotective of me, Im pretty much allowed to do anything I want to, I earned it through not misbehaving while going through puberty haha, I was always miss goody two shoes. It paid off. Any siblings? Yes, two younger brothers. How many friends do you have? ... any of them that you would consider "close?" I have around 7 or 8 friends. I think that I am close to all of them in different ways Have you ever been in an intimate relationship? ... still a virgin? Much to my regret no. And still a virgin [Were you]/[are you] a target for bullies in school? ... held up for ridicule? No, not target for bullies. Just some disrespectful remarks in primary school but I can count the times it happend on one hand. In secondary school I wasn't bullied either or ridiculed. I had my own circle of friends. Are you over-weight? ... under-weight? ... physically disfigured? ... handicapped? ... speech impediment? ... poor eyesight (requiring thick glasses)? I have poor eyesight but I wear contacts now, never had thick glasses Im nearsighted. Im not overweight, not underweight just average. That's about it.

Are you in school? No
... College? No
... living with your parents/grandparents? Parents
... unemployed? Yes
... married? No
... children? No
... an escapee from a mental institution? No way!
... a troll living under a bridge? Nope, I live in a house.
Age? 16. Turning 17 on the 30th
Male or female? Male
What are your interests? ... hobbies? ... what do you like to do for fun? I used to be into heaps of sports but I haven’t played any for about 6 months. So lately I guess the internet, movies and TV, listening to music, swimming (yes I have a pool), playing with my dogs.
What part of the world do you live in? Australia
Are you living in a town, or an unincorporated rural area? A city of about one hundred and something thousand people.
Do you like music? ... favorite album? ... favorite song? Yes I love music, but I have a strange taste in music. I like lots of different kinds of music and it would be too hard for me to pick one.
Favorite singer/musical group? Dunno, never really thought about it before.
Favorite movie? Bloody hell. This is hard, though my favourite type of movie would have to be things set in the past like “gladiator”, “troy” or “from hell”.
What is the nature of your shyness? ... is it preventing you from achieving your goals in life? ... what ARE your goals in life (if any)? My shyness is preventing me from meeting new people and it has ruined my life. This year was my final year of school and I dropped out after the first day and I’ve been at home for the last 6 months. The thing is I can’t stand being labelled as shy so I always try to fake confidence and nobody I’ve just met has ever suspected me of being shy. Though doing this wears out my mind very quickly so I usually have to try and make an exit after a little while. I guess my goal in life would have to be overcoming this disability and to see the world.
What is the nature of your relationship with your parents? I have a good relationship with my parents, though they frequently tell me that I can’t go on like this.
Have your parents been able to maintain the viability of their relationship? Yes
If they have seperated/divorced, how old were you when it happened? Didn’t happen.
... and did it have a major impact on your own life? Look above
Did you have a strict upbringing? ... are your parents over-protective? Not a strict upbringing though they may have been a little over-protective of me.
Any siblings? Yes. A sister 2 years older than me and a brother 11 years older that died 2 days before Christmas last year.
How many friends do you have? ... any of them that you would consider "close?" When I was going to school I would have had a bout 12 friends and of these I would have considered about 5 of them close. But I’ve only seen one of them since I dropped out. He would be my 3rd closest friend, unfortunately my two closest friends moved a long way away 1.5 and 2.5 years ago. I went to an all guys school.
Have you ever been in an intimate relationship? ... still a virgin? No relationship and I’m still a virgin.
[Were you]/[are you] a target for bullies in school? ... held up for ridicule? Not at all. I had a group of friends so I wasn’t targeted, and if anybody ever did say anything about me to my face I’d retaliate, although I wasn’t as good at comebacks as certain others due to shyness.
Are you over-weight? ... under-weight? ... physically disfigured? Nope. I’d say average. I’m 178cm and 70kg or 5’10 and 154lbs.
... handicapped? ... speech impediment? ... poor eyesight (requiring thick glasses)? None of the above.
