Well, I don't know if I'm shy, boring or just a bitch. (My boyfriend insists on the latter) I am completely unsociable. I feel like I never have anything to talk about so I just don't talk at all. I have NO friends. In my early 20's I had all kinds of friends and stayed on the go. However, I only became Ms. Social Butterfly when I had about 10 too many drinks in me!! Now that I'm in my 30's and have 4 kids, I feel like there is no life (other than work) outside my home. My boyfriend, who is completely opposite sometimes hangs out with our neighbors and I occassionally tag along, however, I just convince myself that no one likes me and soon retreat to my home. I really hope that SU can help me and any advice anyone can give me would be sooooo much appreciated! Can't wait to get to know ya'll a little better!

Welcome!
I know the feeling...I'm 22 and have never had a social life. I'm trying to point myself in the right direction, though, and I need all the help I can get.
It's rarely the case that someone actively dislikes a shy person in a social situation, but it's hard not to tell yourself that...
There's no shortage of people willing to offer advice on SU.
However, the best part about the site is not that but the sense of community. It's a lot of fun here.

What's a Hoosier anyway? I've heard it was someone going from Kentucky to Michigan who ran out of money. ;D Meh. Better than being a Buckeye. A friggin' buckeye. WTF?

I'm actually right outside of Indianapolis, in Camby. I've pretty much lived on all sides of town.

It's funny how people always say Indiana folks have "southern" accents. Where on the south side of Indy were you from? I actually grew up in the Greenwood area.

I typed ya'll. Now I have to wonder how often I actually SAY it!! I have no Southern accent whatsoever even though I grew up just outside Cincinnati where lots of people have them. However, I say "y'all," and it sounds really weird. I call it a "Yank Y'all."

I call it a "Yank Y'all." true most people from cincy don't have southern accents. I got that from living in Indiana. Did I ask you what part of cincy before? no you aren't hijackiing anything. I think we got enough peoples for a midwest meetup. ;D

Did I ask you what part of cincy before? Lebanon. Thanks to urban sprawl, it's firmly part of Cincinnati. I live in Dayton now though. I'm in Indianapolis quite a bit. The only mall that I don't hate is downtown there.
