I signed up to SU yesterday and thought it was time I said hello properly I'm from the UK and hate beng shy. I find it hard to meet new people which is why I've made very few good friends since school. I find situations like work can be a great oportunity to face shyness as you can get to know people gradually when you spend 7 hours a day in the same room as someone - it took me a few months though. I think my problem is I stick to that old moto a bit too much: It is better to be thought of as a fool then to speak and remove all doubt. Anyway, it's good to find a group of peolpe like me (but hopefully not too much like me for you're sakes)
