I'm drummer so I just thought I'd post this for fun. Neil Peart is a very respected drummer (drummer from the band Rush) John Bonham is also a respected drummer (drummer of Led Zeppelin)
So the question is: Who is the better drummer, Neil Peart or John Bonham?

Neil Peart, definitely. (I can't really think of any Phil Collins jokes right now. Maybe later.)

Technically I'd say Pert is the better drummer, but I still like Bonzo better, so there. Edit to add: Any Neil Pert fans should go check out the new Aqua Teen Hungerforce movie, Neil's in it and he's awesome!

Neither,, I vote for Keith Moon formerly of "The Who" But yeah,,those would be the top 3 rock drummers ever.

I watched a programme that talked about some of the stuff he used to get up to. Some of it was quite funny (not the suicidal tendencies, obviously..).

Theres a movie idea floating around based on Keith Moons life,, Mike Meyers was very interested in the role I heard.

They've been saying a similar thing about Phil Lynott (Thin Lizzy); apparently a biopic was due to come out last year. I think these things are just lies. Actually, now i've mentioned Thin Lizzy, I think Brian Downey was a pretty good drummer.

I'll go with John Bonham simply because I think Led Zeppelin is a much better band than Rush.
The real question is how did you pick these two drummers out of all the drummers in the world to make a thread about???
