The cure is to be able to smile. If you can just smile all the time..smile at everyone ..fake a smile then alot of people will approach you. Then when someone comes up to talk to you LISTEN to what theyre saying instead of worrying about what youre going to say next.
I use to have the problem of always thinking about what am i going to say next, it has to sound interesting etc. but i don't think it really does just listen to them and the little that you do say is ok in response to them.
Try to learn about them/focus on THEM ..what are they revealing about themselves.. did they just have a killer exam? do they like to workout in the mornings? etc. the next time you see them just ask them about their interests. You don't need to talk about yourself for long length of time.
Make your focus about other people and when you start to care about the other person naturally, you want to know more about how their day went. You could ask "so, how was your workout" or "so, how did the exam go"
initially, it might be very short conversations but as you get to know the person there'll be more to talk about...
My problem is that i just can't fake a smile. My face says it all..im stressed out. so i can't even begin this process..

I think faking confidence is the key, I really do.
As for the facial expression/smiling thing - I do think it's important to smile. But i'm in the same position because my face totally gives away how i'm feeling. My shrink (when I used to see one years ago) told me that I had "an extremely expressive face". Lucky me...

Good advice. I'll keep it in mind. It has worked for me before. Good to hear it works for other people too.
