I think one obvious but difficult way of being good to yourself is to try and walk the line between overindulging yourself and not indulging yourself to anything at all. Easier said than done I know...
Something that I try to do sometimes when looking at myself in a mirror is concentrating on something that I like about myself ( a quality, a part of you that you like ) instead of the numerous other things I dislike.

I'm always treating myself to something. Why not? Because as gals said: Yah! But honestly, I just borrowed that quote from Ms. Gwyneth Paltrow, lol. But that's why I shared it here coz I believe in that statement. We are born on this earth alone with only ourselves, and we're gonna die alone too. We might as well be nice to ourselves while we live. Celebrate being you! Allright!

. . . eat to your heart's delight. . . This is really a form of self-harm. And if you're someone who's reading my comment thinking it doesn't make sense at all, then consider yourself very lucky. But really...even if you have a friend or a kid who needs to be comforted....be aware that you really should find something other than food as a way to do so. Just a word of advice from moi. Trying to spare other people some heartache here. Yah! Allright! Personally, this scares the crap out of me. Yeah...I obviously am not good at giving out advice on WHAT TO DO in regards to being good to yourself (other than taking care of yourself in obvious ways...like exercise/eating healthy...as annoying as that advice can be sometimes anyway ). I suppose you have to find things you enjoy to partake in, things you can get lost in. Which will be different for everyone. But for me personally, I haven't really figured this all out yet either. Sometimes I find it hard enough to even want to be good to myself in the first place. Have no idea how to get around that one.

I've found that one of the best things you can do to be good to yourself is to be easier on yourself.
Just cut out negative thoughts once they come up. Don't go with them or obsesses over them or entertain them for even a second. You'll be surprised how quickly you can start having a better day when you're not on this constant mission to punish yourself.

You want to be good to yourself? Then do what you like and what excites you. Passion is the magic word. =)
