I recently finished watching The night manager recently, it was pretty good for a British show. If Spork has not seen it and I doubt he hasn't he should watch it.

I said this partially to entice Spork to post here again but something about some British shows can just feel lacking in quality compared to American shows.

Ah, that episode I don't really like the addition of time travelling into the show, I mean I know magic already exists but time travelling is something which I believe should be used with hesitation.

It's something I always thought would be a part of Bran's story eventually. Though I agree it's a big can of worms being opened if you go down that road. I personally don't mind it, as long as it's used sparingly. Then again, looking at how the show has handled the Dorne storyline..... I do love how everyone has their own theories/opinions on virtually every facet of the show/books. It's something I like to let my mind wander freely in and see the possibilities, probably as I love writing myself. I do wish I had someone IRL as interested in this as it would be good to have banter back and forth, but alas most of it is with myself. The release of the last four episode titles has sort of given away what's coming up too!

So, it's been a while. I've gone through somewhat of a TV metamorphosis over the last two years and I've really tried to cut down on my TV watching to make room for other things in my life. However, this change is still a work in progress.
Finished:
Downton Abbey (series finale) Castle (series finale) Agent Carter (didn't get picked up for season 3) Galavant (didn't get picked up for season 3) The Night Manager (mini series)
Current on:
Dark Matter Fear the Walking Dead Into the Badlands The Walking Dead Agents of Shield Sherlock Drunk History TableTop Expedition Unknown
Catching up on:
Angel (season 2) Buffy the Vampire Slayer (season 5) Doctor Who (still in the first season of the 11th doctor - I've come to the conclusion that 10 was my doctor) Game of Thrones (somewhere in the middle of season 5) Star Trek: The Next Generation (season 2)
Shows that had to be cut:
Once Upon a Time - Sunday night schedule just got too busy Vikings - I'm curious where it will go but I just don't have the time Supernatural - After 11 years I think I'm ready to let it go True Blood - maybe someday I'll finish it Big Bang Theory - see True Blood Community - season 6 eps are online and don't want to load properly on my computer

Black Mirror :This was a very good surprise, something that I hadn't heard of before but decided to try because it caught my eye on Netflix. Some of the episodes were really thought-provoking and I really like that each of them is pretty much a self-contained entity, it makes for a very cool watching experience because you're never sure what to expect from the next one. It's just a shame that there's only six episodes of it so far, I hope there's going to be a third season. It's been a while since I've watched it, but I highly enjoyed Black Mirror - apparently there's some Christmas episode I have yet to see! yay! The cartoon political one reminds me of the current American presidential election. Unfortunately. -- In other news, I'm currently catching up/binge-watching Nurse Jackie. So ready to be done with it to be honest. :/ Too depressing. Drug addicts are so selfish. Ready to be done with it, but I hate not finishing things.

I think some people were asking about Netflix shows in the Skype chat, at some point... I recently watched and finished Bojack Horseman - depressing, but quite good/interesting...definitely different. I didn't think the 3rd season was quite as entertaining, but may be partially due to me trying to accomplish things while watching (although, I basically did that the whole time) Love - Initially drawn to this because I recognized the lead actress from HBO's Girls - I liked it, but again, kind of depressing. They set it up to try to tell you how much of a screw-up the girl is, only to make her romantic interest to be the one to be the first asshole. What I found interesting was the accuracy of a couple of crappy first-dates - I'm assuming this is more true than the typical first date of everything-is-fantastic that is depicted in most storylines. I'm pretty sure this show came out around February - quite cruel if you ask me. I'll probably check out the 2nd season when it's out, though. Of course. HBO's True Blood - Overall, I really liked this show. My first reaction to it was basically...this is the R-rated version of Twilight, although better acting (and better in general). Soap-Opera like, and with tons of fantasy elements, lots more than I wanted at times. Very entertaining, dark comedy, but also disturbing. A few seasons starting at Season 4 didn't seem so good, and sort of got to the point of wanting to just zip through it to be done, but I ended up really liking the final season, maybe even the next to last season (watched it quite fast, so it's a bit of a blur). Definitely a very sexually charged show, which would be a plus or minus for you depending on what you like. hmm...currently catching up on House of Cards - I didn't really start paying attention to actual politics until the last few years, but with the current political environment, it's hard not to compare to this show. Very disturbing, but interesting and makes you think. It seems I choose a lot of disturbing, dark shows. Which, admittedly, bums me out. But I can't stop. I seriously question my interests at times. Oh, Hemlock Grove was another Netflix one I liked. It's pretty fucked up as well, so of course I liked it.

I thought I had posted on this thread that I had been watching HUSH HUSH SWEET CHARLOTTE. Maybe that was on another thread. Can't see any reason for my saying I was watching that film would be deleted.
Also, I am watching the old 1960s show DARK SHADOWS.
It's very late in my life for me to finally see that show for the first time.

Just finished the third volume of RWBY. I took a chance on it as I'd heard good things, as well as catching a few of the trailers a while ago. I unashamedly love it. Even if the climax of the most recent volume tore my heart out and waved it in front of me shouting 'SEE!! SEE!! SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE GET YOU TO CARE ABOUT CHARACTERS AND LEAD YOU INTO BELIEVING WE'VE CREATED ONE TYPE OF SHOW, THEN TURN IT ON IT'S HEAD!!! AHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!' Ahem. That last bit might be a slight overreaction on my part. But yeah....I was emotionally traumatised

The very first episodes of Dark Shadows from 1966.
Any of you other SU members remember, or ever saw the Edge of Night daytime, or near night time TV drama?
