Hi, has anyone heard of alpha Stim to help ? Would it be helpful for shyness? They say it helps with depression and anxiety. I wonder if it would work.
Thanks.

Hi, if anyone has some experience with this, please respond. What do you think of this? Do you think it could help?
Thanks.

DIY shock treatment. Nice. It's not something i've tried, but i'd just be careful about it if I were you. If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Gaia, I agree, it it's immoral or wrong, I don't want to do it.
But I do think as long as it's good and helpful and beneficial, you should go for it. Alot of Shy people are so scared to try something new and too cautious. Sometimes, as long as it's good, you've got to go for it. If it works, that's great. Would you rather continue to be shy and ruin your health from that? Don't you think you should take a risk too as long as it's good?
Anyway, peace.

You see, some people, whether they're shy or not, are so concerned about their health that they don't want to try something new to help them, whether or not it is controversial. But you know what, it's tragic for shy people to be so concerned or cautious to ruin their health, yet they just allow themselves to be shy and continue to act this way and not take action. As long as the action isn't immoral or damaging to their health, go for it. Shyness, in my book, is the thing that damages our health. We've got to take chances and smash it in ways, even if it is controversial. But as long as it isn't too damaging to our health and as long as we are healthy.
Peace.

..I don't want to do it.. Then don't. There are so many other things for you to try before something like this. I completely understand what you are saying about the risk being worth it to some individuals. Being shy can be very tough and I can see how some people would want to get over it at any cost. Although I have to say I agree with Sweet Pea and think it's a gimick too. If this thing helped you like it says it does, doctors would be using it all the time, wouldn't they? There's a reason it's not being offered by professionals. There isn't enough evidence to prove it actually does you much good. Do some research - i'm pretty sure you can find some other options to try first. Good luck with it.

Gaia, I've tried alot to overcome my shyness, but still I'm struggling. So for me, I should also give this a chance too as long as it's not wrong or can obviously physically hurt me. I guess the only sure way is to try it yourself. But yeah, it's up to the individual whether or not they want to try it.
I just get tired of some here saying "Oh I don't want to ruin my health" or something like that. I mean they're so concerned about their health, yet they aren't willing to try something a little controversial. They'd rather stay shy and not be willing to risk something. And shyness could ruin their health too. I mean to me, Shyness is a horrible horrible thing to have and it's not something to be happy to live with. So I think it would be good to risk overcoming it. But again, to each his or her own. That is what bothers me.
Again, I agree that if it's immoral or obviously can ruin your health, don't do it. But I feel sometimes you have to go for it.
Peace

To some shyness is something horrible that is ruining your life. To others, it can actually be a safe place. While it's not a happy safe place, it's still slightly better than what could be - the "unknown". If you're determined to try it, then give it a go. If it's successful, then fantastic. However if it's coming at a price (you're getting side effects), just have a real think about whether it's worth continuing it. Anyway, good luck... and will you let me know how you get on if you do decide to try it?
