all my old freinds have fallen away like that. i found i was always the one making the phone call, so I stopped, and never heard from them again. this was in prehistoric times when most people did not even have answering machines...now with email, chat, cell phone, text message, IM, twitter, facebook, twitbook... ;D there should be no excuse with all these ways to connect.

I contacted my old friend's from school via facebook and they have so far been good to me.
Apparently one of them missed me and when I had sent a message and then deleted my account before I could receive a reply, tried desperately to contact me.
Of course they all have husbands, baby, and boyfriends I do feel jealous but at the same time I'm happy for them.
I had no idea they were thinking of me....I found out that they don't really talk much on facebook and they too have not seen each other for years. Thanks for sharing and replying.
I just hope it all continues to go well and I don't not end up getting hurt somehow.

I have added/been added by a few, not many on facebook. a few church people, but only 1 of them contacts me on any consistent basis or sends me an e-mail if he hasn't heard from me. I hate when you go to all the trouble of adding someone [nobody from here] and then waiting for them to confirm a "friendship" and then there's no communication (yes, I've communicated to her several private letters) - she hasn't even written on my wall yet. We may as well as not even bothered to add/confirm each other ! The fellow I mentioned above, he knows how much I like cats, so he'll send me an e-mail containing a cat pic, etc. and that brightens my day a little. I did manage to reconnect with that lady who I used to babysit her kids in the 70s. So that was positive. She's in a city where I used to live and I would love to go down and spend a few days at her place. I'm just trying to get up the courage to ask her. She's always been kind to my mother and me, and when I babysat her 3 kids before, it was understood that I would spend the night there, and have breakkie/supper there as well. She used to make a really good brekkie and I used to call it "Irene's fabulous breakfast!" (yum - bacon, eggs, toast, juice, coffee) [I know I'm getting off topic again. I just can't resist talking about food, lol ;D!|
