Pretty well actually. I find that I no longer worry about what everybody is thinking about me. That alone makes my life so much easier. Also, I spent Fathers Day with my In-Laws was actually comfortable and talked quite a bit. I don't think as much about what I am going to say, which was my biggest problems since I thought so much about something that it was often too late in the conversation to actually come out and say it.
I was worried about the side effects but, I haven't experienced any, except that my eyes are a little sensitive to the sun but, not so much that it bothers me. I don't think that I will ever be able to do a song and dance in front of anybody but, most non-shy people can't do that either. Besides, NOBODY wants to hear me sing or see me dance anyway. I'm glad that I gave St. Johns Wort a try, it has made my life better so far.

Well done. What sort of price is it? Often, herbal remedies are pretty expensive - but if they work they're worth every penny.

It depends really. I paid $12US for a bottle of 180. They are 300mg and you are supposed to get a 900mg dosage everyday so I have to take three. It should last me 90 days or 3 months.

The St. Johns Wort pill is only St. John Wort (plus whatever is used to into pill or capsule form), so I won't effect your vitamins. I do know that it effects certain drugs, though. Birth control being one of them (I don't know if you are male or female). So if you are taking any medications, you might want to phone your doctors nurse and ask if it will have any effects on them. Here's the link to a very informative web site that I found for SJW. www.sjwinfo.org/ I hope that it works, this is my first time posting a link. Everything that I know, I learnd from that site.

I am taking St johns wort too for about 2 weeks now...dont exactly start to feel difference..but also had to do with some issues with an ex bf i think..anyways..i also went to the site you added here, what a good site! it s very informative. I just wanted to add that it s not that st johns wort is something totally harmless either. it s a medicine. A couple of years ago they allready wanted to put it on prescription coz of it s important interactions. I am taking it now..but still i think it s better if i should talk to a therapist instead/ first, or take a course in self confidence.

I know what you mean about St John's being a medicine. I took Ginseng for a couple of months. Ginseng is an ancient stimulant and it did exactly what it said on the tin. Stimulant is the right word. No wonder they sell it in adult shops.

To NewOrleansLady, hi, how has your experience with St. John's Wart gone? Do you still take it? And have you continued to get good results from it? Exactly what results have you gotten?
Thanks.
Jim

A note to British visitors to this site, about St John's Wort. You can buy different brands of St John's Wort in health food shops etc but you have no idea of the quality of the tablets. (Meaning you may be wasting your money.) One of the best quality tablets can be found in Boots. (I just thought that I would mention it.) Also, you really should tell your GP before you take these tablets. This is so they can check if it is safe for you to take St John's Wort with other medications. GPs are usually sympathetic about its use (even though it is a herb) as they know that ordinary anti-depressants can cause bad side effects and St John's Wort causes fewer side effects.

all the books i read say none of these vitamin pills help in the long run. its true b vitamins help us deal with stress. but if we eat some types of food the adsorbstion of these is blocked. if we eat sugar, saturated fat and anything to oily we wont have healthy guts. it also means we have to stop eating anything from the deadly nightshade family..tomato, pepper/chilli,potato,egg plant, yam or anything else that looks evil. if we start eating whole grains for breakfast without milk and sugar and then simply veggies throughout the day we can begin to fight off the unfriendly bacterrea with the nice ones. the nice ones give us b vitamins. after a while of this, eat healthy protien like tofu, aduki beans and other things you like but only when you need the energy. find your favourite herb teas to drink in the evening cos its best not to eat befor you go to bed. after living like this for a while then try useing st. john's wort herb because everything will be much cleara then. look up Kristina Turners, Self-Healing Cookbook, Earthtone press. peace out HAZE of u.k
