I personally don't believe anything is wrong with being shy, people seem to associate shyness as being a bad personal trait however I have come to the conclusion that there is nothing wrong with being shy, people have different personalities with shyness being one of them it's just unfortunate that others seem to look at shyness as a bad. What do you lot think?

it depends how it effects you. if you are shy and can't make friends but are prettty happy to spend your time alone its not such a bad thing and you shouldn't feel too bad about it . i think all the negativity breeds more. like i mentioned in another thread i think there seems to be a bit of "shy guilt" that can occur . or at least thats what i tend to experience. I'm not as shy as i was but even with people i'm confortable with if it goes quiet i blame myself and i begin rambling on about nothing or things i shouldn't and i don't think i should do that or feel that way .
on the other hand shyness can ruin a person all on its own. it can get in the way of carreer , making friends, breeding, finding love , exploring.....etc so it all depends on what degree one is shy.

What do you lot think? I agree with that. I'm also a shy person myself and I lived normally for years like this (but I can be gutsy and tried on different opportunities in my life) I'm only shy when it comes to speaking with new people I've encountered, but I'm continually improving on it. But I accepted it and I'm not ashamed of it.
