I've noticed people on facebook sending 'I love you' messages to each other. Why do this ? They know people are going to read it. Why not send a text ? Sounds like they are showing off to me. Makes me want to vomit !

Same thing with Twitter. I never understood why well known celebs would tweet each other instead of just sending private messages. I guess they like they attention. That said, sometimes it's just easier to post on someone's page. I think because so many people do it, it just gets addictive and normal.

yeah it is a bit weird. the nature of facebook is a bit narcissictic.
Some people report in every hour with mundane details of their lives like if they farted.
Then there are the people who are over the top fawning over their boyfriend or girlfriend.

I must admit I like facebook. And I do look on it everyday. It's just a great way to keep it touch with people.
I do write all kinds of stuff on there, some funny stuff, other things such as what I've been doing. There are things I would never put on there though, private stuff. I send private messages to people quite a bit because I don't want everybody knowing my business.
I would never write anything about relationships etc. (If I ever have one that is !)
