In the interests of getting a decent chatroom most people can use without needing to be logged into or remade every 5 minutes (yes, chatzy I am looking at you). We have opened an IRC room for the people of SU! Ta da! ;D

Basic Room Details

Server: river.serenia.net
Channel: #su

Connecting

For those new to IRC or who just want to try the room out, you can use an excellent online tool called Mibbit.

cbe001.chat.mibbit.com/

For those of you with IRC clients set up your client with the server details above or type in /server river.serenia.net and then /join #SU

Useful Commands

/me [enter a comment in third person]
e.g. /me is chatting with everyone

/nick [enter a new nickname]
e.g. /nick my_new_nickname

Rules

No abuse towards other chatroom members (including the op's). This will result in being kicked and/or banned from the room.
Anyone who idles for long amounts of time (i.e. says or does nothing) will be kicked after 24 hours.

The op's (mods) for this channel/room are myself, Tal, Scotty and Rose.

The room will probably be more active post 10pm GMT but feel free to pop in at any time to see if anyone is around ;D

Ah I knew I was forgetting something (I used to remember to post things but then I took a skyrim to the PC).

The sub-server of serenia the chatroom is/was on is down (raven). With a chat cilent you can change sub-server to river or ocean but that's not possible with mibbit. I can either re-set up the room on river or we can use a chatzy room until the raven servers back up (however that's looking progressively unlikely imo).
