As a young man "scarecrow" because I was tall and skinny. But now I am tall and husky so the name no longer really applies.

Anything by R.A. Salvatore, Tracy Hickman or Margaret Weis (all are fantasy authors). I have read some political books and books on the current war.

The Invisible Man. I am not shy like I use to be, but I don't really fit in with the social norm either.

Statistics. It taught me to see things from a different perspective, logic oriented, things are not always as they appear.

Gandhi. Stopped the mighty British Empire in its tracks by simply going on a hunger strike. Broke the will of the British through non violent civil disobedience.

-My real name is Kevin, so things like Big Kev are common. Also my friends call me things like K-dog, K-train, K-muscle, etc. I am also known as Sheldon to my friends (from big bang theory)

I read a lot, prioritising fantasy and sci-fi but my tastes are wide. I really enjoy stuff that has romantic sub-plots involved as it generally helps to flesh out the characters and make them more interesting.

-I can't think of any, maybe I'll think of something and edit this later.

-I used to read Hyper for video game news, and Ralph for hot girl pictures. Occasionally I pick up GQ for men's fashion.

-I feel comfortable dealing with numbers, so maths. There was a time I really enjoyed English in highschool too.

- My original username was Lifeishowyouseeit which is a reminder to myself to challenge certain unhelpful thoughts that goes into my head on a regular basis.

Later the username was changed to Zoe as I felt it may become cumbersome when people try to respond to my posts and have the need to type out so many letters.

Zoe means life, i totally dig it. Its also part of my real name so that helps.

- Enjoying Heroes of Olympus and Percy Jackson series. Love how they incorporate mythology into present times.

- Nobita from a japanese comic - Doramon because we are quite similar in personality and i can relate to his flaws. Nobita has a good heart but is so darn lazy and self absorbed but with each encounter he mets, he grows more as a person and understands what it mean to be a productive person in this world.

- Primary School: I wanted to be a stay at home housewife

Stumbled on it. Stalked it for a few months before I joined. Karen was the first person to say hello. It was a nice welcome.

- Why did you choose your username?
There's another site on the internet whose founder is affectionately called The Malevolent Spork. I joined SU at 2am, a time when my brain doesn't really work. I thought, well, instead of 'malevolent', what about 'sexy'? I've been stuck with it ever since. The 37 was a horrific miscalculation of my age doubled. Again, it was 2am.

- Do people have "nicknames" for you?
Hmm, not really. I was known as Big Al in college because of a rumour that was started that I never got to round to denying. I don't like my real name so I ask people to call me Ally.

Crap, probably. I'm not into trends or styles, if I like something, I buy it. Jeans, t-shirt, hoodie. That suits me. All my shirts are either grey, blue or black, and nothing I wear has any branding, logo, or advertisement on it. I hate being a walking billboard.

I've been told I have a North Yorkshire accent, which is an accent that is basically South Yorkshire lite.

It's complicated. I live in North Yorkshire which isn't in the north-east but the town I live in is. It's in a county that isn't in the region the town the county is in, is in. It's fun living here.

Australia, Singapore, Spain, Ibiza, Menorca, Meorca, Portugal, France, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Egypt, America (Florida), America (New York), Fuerteventura, Lanzarote. I'm probably missing some. I've been to some of the ones I mentioned a few times.

Crap English. That's about it. I can count to 14 in French but I don't know why.

- Any pets?
I had two goldfish, Homer and Maggie. Homer was 10 when he died, Maggie lived for 8 years longer, by herself. She also made it to 10. She died of a swim bladder infection after her eye exploded. Poor thing. Very slow death. We buried her in the back garden. I was 18.

Nope. I've never smoked anything of any kind, ever. I've been around people who were smoking so I probably have second-hand smoke in my lungs.

Live with mother and father.

Never had one. Probably never will. Unless my hand counts...

Depends what a 'hobby' is. I'd say, reading, writing sci-fi novellas, photography, surfing the net, watching TV and listening to my local football team on the radio. Nothing interesting, really.

Probably one of the above.

Everything, to some degree. I'm a very frightened person.

- What genres of music do you like?
Post-rock, metal, proper punk (not this pop crap), punk screamo, metal screamo - things along those lines. Bands I like include Green Day, The Evpatoria Report (Golevka is one of the greatest music albums ever made, certainly something to hear before you die), Trivium, From Autumn to Ashes, Warship, Tidal Arms (also a very good band), Pinhead Gunpowder - stuff like that. I listen to quite a lot of Radio 4 comedy shows. I think I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue is the funniest comedy on Earth. Ever. 40 years it's been on, and is still going, with nearly the same panel. This goes to show just how popular it is. I'm really looking forward to tonight's new Christmas Special.

Movies aren't really my thing.

- What kind of television shows do you watch, and what draws you to them? What shows have you been watching recently?
Far too much television. Top Gear UK, Shameless USA, Southland, Law & Order UK, Misfits, The Big Bang Theory, Rev, QI, Have I Got News For You, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Good News, Would I Lie To You, Miranda, NCIS (the good one), I could go on all day. So many wonderful shows out there. Mainly from over the pond.

- What websites do you visit?
SU, Den of Geek, Top Gear, the local paper's site, the Teesside forum of Skyscraper City, 28 Days Later, Flickr, Daily Writing Tips, Crooked Brains, Listverse, Oddee, Smashing Lists, Biggest Stuff, a couple of local history groups on Facebook. Stuff like that.

- What was (or is) your favorite academic subject?
None of them. Hated every second of class time in school. I hated PE so much I refused to do it. Instead, I helped out with the class in organizing things and help set things up. I ended up with a D because of that, rather than a fail for not doing anything.

- What religion were you raised in, if any?
Roman Catholic. I'm sort-of Italian, so it's expected. Still go to church every week, and I'm going to Midnight Mass tonight... at 10:30. Close enough, I suppose. I've done the works: baptism, first holy communion, first confession, and confirmation. On confirmation, I took the name Joseph.

- Do you cuss a lot?
Nah. People often comment on how unusual it is that I never swear.

Don't think so. Others may be the better judge.

- What is the best compliment you have ever received?
I have received a few nice comments on my three blogs. Well, two of them. This is one that was particularly nice that I've shortened:

I nearly cried when I read that. It was beautiful. There are some wonderful people in the world.

Zoe's Place. It's a specialist baby hospice that have only two hospices in the UK, one in Liverpool and one in my town. The one here isn't huge, it only has room for six infants, but what they do is simply fantastic. They are a home for babies with limiting and life threatening conditions. They offer 'palliative and specialist respite care, and end of life care for babies/infants from birth to five years old'. It's amazing.

I also have a sword replica hanging on one of my bedroom walls. Beyond that, I have three small pictures that give a bit of a 3D effect hanging above my desk. Finally, on one side of my bedroom door are a few pictures of cats and dogs that I put about two to three years ago while on the other side there's a mirror as well as three very small posters for what are now old computer games ( Commandos 3, Deus Ex Invisible War and GTA San Andreas ), two of which turned out to be rather mediocre so I really ought to take those off but I'm just too damn lazy .

What are your hobbies?

Video games, Reading about Mythology and/or History, Listening to music, watching TV Series on my computer and a few movies at home every once in a while. As for outdoor activities, I really enjoy walking/trekking/hiking, especially in places that are as devoid of people as possible.

What do you do when you're bored?

What I wrote as the previous answer and if I'm really bored to the point of not wanting to do anything ( it has been known to happen ), I'll just lie down on my bed and try to sleep.

What are your obsessions?

I suffer from a particular kind of OCD, that is compulsive checking. I often check lock multiple times and, right before going to bed ( since I'm generally the last one up in the house ), I'll check that every single light and appliance is off, that nobody left the water running and that kind of thing...

What are your phobias?

I have a rather severe case of Cnidophobia, that is to say that I'm terrified of most stinging insects ( wasps in particular ) making it really hard for me to eat outside when the occasion presents itself. Thankfully, during winter this is not a problem since there are no stinging insects to be found outside due to how cold it generally is.

What genres of music do you like?

I have rather eclectic taste when it comes to music, the two only genres I most often dislike are rap and heavy metal.

What are some of your favorite movies?

Aliens, Braveheart, Battle Royale, Lord of the Rings Trilogy and probably a few others that I've forgotten over the years.

What kind of television shows do you watch, and what draws you to them? What shows have you been watching recently?

Currently it's Game of Thrones, Dexter, The Big Bang Theory, Doctor Who, The Walking Dead. I don't really know what draws me to some show and not others. I guess it's mostly a question of watching the first episode and seeing if I like it enough to watch more of this particular show.

What type of books do you read, if any? What do you like about them?

I really enjoy reading what is called "beaux livres" in French, I don't know how they are called in English. They generally have a lot of illustrations and, in the case of the books I own, a number of facsimile of official documents which I personally always find fascinating.

I don't really read magazines though I used to back when I didn't have access to Internet however my father has a subscription to a local newspaper and I do tend to read some of it whenever I have the time for it.

Here's a theory, Marl.

The left-handedness thing may be down to hemisphere's. Whilst 95% of right-handed people have a much bigger left hemisphere of the brain (which controls the right side of the body and is responsible for maths, analytical stuff, logic, details, facts, knowledge, etc.), left-handed people only have 18% dominance of our RIGHT hemisphere, which controls the left side of the body. We use both halves near enough equally, but most importantly, we use MORE of our right hemisphere than righties. The right hemisphere controls religion, art, music, language, risk taking, imagination, fantasy, etc.

I mention this because women tend to have a wonderful sixth sense of knowing so much about someone just by looking at them, and tend to be correct. Maybe this sixth sense works at some level of attractiveness and they see lefties, the arty handed people, as more appealing than righties.

After all, women are more likely to be attracted to a person of art than statistics and maths.

-Yes, 95% of the time.

-No, but I might someday.... as soon as I become the sort of person to wear hats!

-Casual day to day, my favorite clothing is pajamas, I would live in pjs if I could.

-Not that I know of. I sound like most Americans on the tv sound. no distinct regional accent.

-Hmm... I guess I would have to say long distance at the moment, we're waiting to see how things go, but, I think I found a pretty great guy. ;D

-No

-I consider myself straight, but I think everyone has a little bisexual/gay in them.

What are your hobbies?
I like putting puzzles together, playing video games, things like that. I've always wanted to build one of those model wooden ships too, I think they're cool, and would probably be fun to build.

What do you do when you're bored?
-Video games, reading, watch movies/tv shows, internet.

-I don't have any.

-Tsunamis

-mostly rock music

-This one is hard, I always forget my favorites and then later wish I had said 'X' movies. I'll go with 'Spirited Away' (really most studio Ghibli films), 'Amelie', 'Donnie Darko', 'The Big Lebowski', 'A Christmas Tale' (french movie), 'Snatch', 'Young Frankenstein'

What kind of television shows do you watch, and what draws you to them? What shows have you been watching recently?
-I watch just about anything as long as its on Netflix. Recently I've been watching 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia', 'Heroes' and some dinosaur specials.

-I love to read, mostly I like fantasy and sci-fi.

What fictional character do you most identify with and why (if any)?
-Maybe Tiffany from Terry Pratchett's Tiffany Aching series, mainly because she's very practical.

-I don't read any magazines, unless I'm in a waiting room.
