Good to hear I am not being discouraging. In the last few months I have realized if one doesn't work out it's not the end of the world. Every time I meet someone I like and I have let her pass by or it doesn't work out, a couple weeks later I meet someone else I like.
The biggest thing I have figured out is that you have too take action even if it is scary. This weekend I met 2 people who I got along with really well. One gave me her number and the other turned me down. Being turned down is much better than what I used too, thinking about her for months and being too afraid to take action. I am finding now that taking action I am getting even more confidence even if I get turned down.
Just keep at it and good luck.

Update: That cute girl has recently gone to Hawaii with her fiance and they are now married. And I am still single. Thankfully, I am moving to another library soon, and she never knew how I felt about her, thankfully, so I dodged a few bullets there.

NEVER date in the workplace especially the boss. It is awkward when things go wrong.
