What are some tips you can offer for building self-confidence/self-esteem? I can't think of anything right now, but when I do, I'll post something.

Try and do whatever you enjoy that makes you confident. Is there anything you enjoy doing that makes you more confident at the same time? I enjoy keeping active and going to the gym which actually improves me physically and makes me mentally more confident too, so I try and go as often as possible.
I may not be a cassanove, a social butterfly and I may have giant braces in my teeth but my self esteem is always high when Im working out and in the long term it is also generally higher as a result of keeping myself fit.

what works for each individaul is diferent because we all have our own needs and reasons we lack confidence. Adrian is benefiting from working out whereas chemistry has said working out doesnt help his confidence. You need to experement and try diferent things and intrests and such.

Some might find listening to music or making music helps them for example. I realise what works for me wont work for everyone.

I'll tell you what does work for me. Anything regarding entertainment. Get me into a conversation about music, movies or books and I just don't shut up. Chem

I'd like to add that if talking about entertainment led to getting laid, I would've done it by now. ;D Chem

Taking up martial arts? When my cousin was young she was very shy and quiet, so her parents put her in Tae-Kwan-Do classes and now she's the exact opposite of a shy person.

I've never been a very physical person. I have to force myself to excersie and work out, and it doesn't really do anything but make me tired. Doesn't seem to boost my energy levels either. To each his/her own, i guess.
