My birthday is coming up in about two months. I'm not quite sure how to celebrate it and this year, I want everybody to know about it and celebrate it with me.
Last year was my golden birthday and I was little peeved off that nobody remembered my birthday when I had mentioned it several times in the previous weeks leading to it. Okay, I wasn't just a little peeved off, I was really mad about it, haha. It was my golden birthday, something like this only happens once. I spent the night at a bar drowning in my sorrows because no one wanted to drink that night. Of course, I didn't tell anybody that it was my birthday. I was thinking why should I when I had subtlely dropped it quite frequently already. And it hurt so much when no one remembered.

I have never really celebrated mine because of lack of friends and because its on the 24th.
iN someways thats a Godsend because I dont like the attention and I can use scheduling issues as a valid reason not to have one.
however My birthday is always a lonely time because its just me with my family and I rarely hear happy birthday . This year Im getting my freind's girlfreind to make me a cake because then I could feel like someone knows and cares besides my family.
This year I thought I might have enough freinds to have a party but I do not and I hate inviting people to things because I always have a fear they will renig.

My last birthday sucked because that was the day I got the notice from the Air Force that I was disqualified for enlistment (because I took Zoloft for a couple of months!).
Although the weekend afterwards, my mother took me out to eat at my favorite restaurant in Indianapolis, and I enjoyed myself.
I normally don't do much for birthdays beyond stuff like that.

It does look better to have someone else throw the party. However, confident people throw themselves parties. You see, their main concern is having a good time. They know that life is too short to wait around for other people to get their act together. If your birthday is a big deal to you, then let other people know. Don't be subtle about it. You can even use last year as an excuse to go wild this year. People like excuses to have a party.

I don't do much of anything. On my 21st birthday my mom took me out to dinner. Thats it. Which was nice I would like to have people to celebrate my birthday with. Maybe one year that will happen. I am going to be 22 in 3 months (eek!) and my mom will probably take me out...again. Birthdays are depressing when you spend them alone (not counting mothers. ) ~I.A.

I forgot to mention the only public celebration is when my family goes to the world famous Maquires Irish Pub in Pensacola, Fl and they sing me happy birthday.

I don't even want to think about my birthday, its coming up this month and I am always depressed on it. Its hard when your birthday is on New Years Eve, a day when you are expected to be at a party anyway. So most of the time I don't have a birthday party or new year's eve party and am alone. Its so depressing and I don't even want to think about what I'll be doing this year, it will most likely be lonely and sad as usual.

Anybody who sings "happy birthday" to me gets stabbed with a fork. ;D haha, I feel the same way. If it is a very small goup of people it is tolerable. But in grade school when evvvveryone sang to me, it was horribly awkward and annoying. I wanted to stab them with a spork. I will probably be online for New Years Eve. We should all have a New Years Eve party and type sing to Bodhi happy birthday. ~I.A.

lol I was just going to guess that one. Yum! ;D I was refused service at the one in Chicago because I wasn't wearing a collared shirt. But in Indy, there was a guy sitting at the next table wearing sweatpants.
