Last night my preechers wife who is more like a freind (shes 23 or 24) asked me if I had met anyone at college.
I thought she meant freinds in general so I said lots of people kinda of a lie
she meant lady freind and I said no and she said she was sorry and all.
in some ways im glad she asked because in a weird way it made me feel hopeful despite a little lonely.
anyone get the same type of feeling when asked this.

I hate when people ask me this, its usually my relatives. My grandmother who lives in Florida always asks me when I talk to her on the phone and I always have to say no. It makes me feel bad and lonely. But I guess it means they think you are capable of getting a significant other, so thats good. But I just don't like it, although I'll be very happy to say yes to her if and when I ever get a girlfriend.

It is good that you feel hopeful after someone asks you this. It seems like you are on the right track. I get pissed when someone asks me this because it should be obvious as much time as I spend by myself they should know the answer already.
