I want to buy cause i need a new one..but if i regularly do printing, wouldn't it be really expensive? I haven't regularly printed anything. In fact i went like 1 year without printing nothing but now that i have new ideas..like making comic books.........i wonder if it's a good idea to spend money on printing. I guess a print cartridge wouldn't last much if you print color printouts...
so if i did something,, like alittle 20 page comic book, all the ink would be used up quickly. I wish printcartridges were 20 dollars and would last 1 year( printer 10 pages per day ), but it's not like that. If i'm not rich then i guess i ca'nt do any printing projects like what i'm thinking of right?

I'd expect to get 50 - 100 pages in colour from an ink cartridge, possibly more. Printers don't need to put that much ink onto a page. I'm asuming you're not going to flood fill the page's background as well.

Thought about a color laser printer? I don't know the mechanics of how they work, but I would assume the media lasts much longer, just like black and white laser printers. They are more expensive, but try to consider how much printing you will do. Print cartridges are very expensive. Though many people simply refill the cartridges, much cheaper.

how do you refill the cartridges? Depends on the cartridge. Something I did not know is that Canon (and probably some other brands) use simple ink "tanks" and the printer head is in the printer itself. This is good for making the cartridges cheaper, of course then if the printer head messes up, you're kinda screwed. HP cartridges have their own little head in them (anyone who has seen one would see that this is obvious.) The heads get replaced with every cartridge. Of course then the cartridges are more expensive.
