Are you romantic? What's the most romantic thing you've ever done / had done for you. Do you go all wobbly reading Mills and Boon or are you a cold hearted pragmitist?

I like to think I'm a bit of a romantic at heart. The most romantic thing I've ever done for somebody was a few years ago. I love Arsenal soccer team. One Christmas, I bought a Barbie soccer girl doll, painted it red and white like Arsenal's colours, bought a pin bagde that had the Arsenal symbol on it and gave it to my girlfriend at the time. It went down well!

I really wish I could say I'm romantic, but I can't to be honest. The most romantic I get does tend to revolve around football I'm afraid to say, Manchester United in particular (unlucky this season Shane! And yes, I'm being sarcastic!). Girls and romance do tend to go out the window in the midst of a title run-in. And yes, I am aware of how sad I sound ;D

Hello,
I just realized I responded to the wrong thread.
--------------------
Am I a romantic at heart. Yes and No. I don't have any fairy-tale notions about love anymore. I'm more grounded and I prefer the reality to a fantasy any day to be honest.

I don't really know whether I'm romantic. I've not really dated women who I've been interested in enough to want to be romantic with. The one girl I was, I only dated for 6 weeks, and really were dating only 3 of those weeks.

i have a romantic idea to do something for an anniversary type event, but it would have to be many years from now, as it would take a lot of money and planning. anyway, yeah, i think about stuff like that.

I didn't realise you were a red devil Urbanspaceman? I'm going to take great pleasure in kicking you of these Forums! I'm not petty at all really.
I was thinking about this thread last night while I was icepacking my ankles. I tend to do romantic things at the start of relationships like sending bouquets of flowers or going to watch a soppy film like Sliding Doors.' After a while I get to the stage where I just couldn't be annoyed.

i probably would have done more romantic things if i had been with more romantic guys. the only flowers i've ever gotten were from my mom. and once i had something nice planned for my first night with this guy i was seeing because he had said he wanted it to be romantic. but when the night came all he wanted was to get to it

I'm kind of romantic. I've been with my husband for a while now and any form of romance went out the window when we had our son. Now he just asks me what i want for things like birthdays, valentines day, mothers day... I tell him and he buys it. I'm not much of a girly girl so candle light dinners aren't high on my list. I do miss the days when we were a "new couple" sometimes though.

Hasn't happened yet, but I think i'd love dancing with someone special somwhere with a view as the sun rises over the city, after staying up all night talking and getting to know each other.
