you're right, Placido. Perfection is terribly boring to look at and equally boring to talk to (from my experience). I tend to be drawn to men whose appearance and behavior reflects a personality that I find attractive.

Oooo, I'm a girl, and I agree: models make me really angry. I think I have about the same attitude about this as Adrian and many other posters here; feeling that I'm a rather unattractive person myself, and having quite low self-esteem.
Actually, what I hate most of all are actresses who look like models. And most of them do. I can't stand it in movies and TV shows when some guy becomes smitten by a girl because she's just, well; SO beautiful. Gag me.
I definitely agree that I don't like "perfection," and male models on TV really don't do it for me personally at all. I think Placido is exactly right. The advertisers and movie producers and whatnot aren't fooling anybody worth fooling with their stinkin' models!

Amen Greenferret! I made this post originally quite a while back but my irritation at models on TV shows, commercials, films, everything, has grown if anything. Has anyone noticed how on "reality" TV shows the contestants are always extremely good looking! Last night i saw an american show now on here in the UK called Average Joe where a beautiful (typical tv perception of beauty, very slim etc, not my personal view of beauty) woman who said she prefers personality over looks (many stunningly beautiful people claim this falsely) found out that the show makers had picked 16 very average looking people to date her in the show. The look on her face was priceless when she saw them. But my point is using average looking people was a good idea and should be common place on rather than a rarity.

you know what i hate? when clear skinned people do acne commercials. there was one about a girl complaining about a huge zit on her chin but there was nothing on her chin!! i guess these products will get rid of your zits as long as you don't have any lol. i find imperfections attractive. anything that makes a peson unigue is great!
