What the hell is wrong with these guys? They really need to get a life! I have had a phone stalker all weekend. This asshole must have called 10 times yesterday. I answered the phone 1 time yesterday and they hung up. I could hear a tv on in the background. They called some more and then I took the phone off the hook.
They started bright and early around 10am and then I took the phone off the hook.
This afternoon they started calling and I let it ring and the last time I picked it up and they hung up and picked it back up and I could hear their tv and I said to them, "You call here again and you'll die" and I slammed the phone down. They haven't called back.
I will go down to the office tomorrow and find out who is doing it as they have a switchboard. Has to be someone in my building.

There one good thing about not having any mates! ;D I'm sure it must be someone in this building who has seen me in the hall way and saw my room number. They haven't called back! ;D

Sounds creepy... Doesn't your phone company have a code you can dial to identify the last caller? I know mine is #67 or something. Also maybe you should have called the police so it can deter whoever it was from doing anything worse.

When I had problems with annoying prank callers... I bought myself a whistle and blew very loudly into the phone. Maybe I damaged their ear drums, coz they soon ceased...
Hm, you could always pull some kinda prank back on them? To kinda freak them out... works with telemarketers.

I think I'd look forward to it.

If any of you ever get bored of the whistle, try this one out. ;D heheh...funny. i feel sorry for people who have to work as telemarketers. i hope i don't become one of them. Yeah, the real jerks are the companies. We have to ask for a phone number at the end of a transaction in the store where I'm working, and one time instead of just saying "no thanks" this one guy sneered at me, gave me a made-up phone number (all 5s) and then turned to the person next to him and said something like "can you believe this?!" and how he'd like to get our phone numbers and call us up to harass us. The store does not, in fact, call people up OR sell the numbers; and regardless of all else, I sure as hell ain't asking for numbers because I get a kick out of it. I'd just like to keep my fecking minimum wage job. I've seen that script before, I think on SU. What's the guy who wrote it use the info for..? Unfortunately, I read no Dutch.

I guess the idea is to expose the companies for their shenanigans. Even if not, passing their details on to some random guy on the internet just seems so right. I'd just like to keep my fecking minimum wage job. the one i hate is where they make the supermarket cashiers try to sell you some cheap crap on special while you're checking out. they make these poor people go through this spiel hundreds of times a day. customers resent it and it makes the employees unhappy. it's a real dumb idea. Reminds me of my short life in retail. We had to upsell and suggestive sell every time. Unconditionally. There was this one breed of customer who seemed to think they had it all figured out: they'd actually reduce their order in response to such tactics. So, if you tried to upsell them from a medium to a large, they'd downsize to a small (along with a stone-faced, condescending glare). What they evidently didn't get is that we were more interested in keeping our jobs should the manager be looking, and not whether we could wring out another $5 from the victim/customer. Lesson: if you choose to run the risk of embarassing yourself by mounting such a passionate protest, make sure you're doing it to the right people...

I had to do something like that at work too. I felt dumb and really rude trying to sell stuff so I wouldn't do it unless the supervisors were around. and the customers are rude about saying no sometimes, its not like we made a comission or anything its obvious that we were payed by the hour. Maybe you should tell them how to write a complaint to the management.

Testify, Pea!!! Testify to the truth! Go ahead and sing it my sister! I hate it when we have to do that too, at my job. My company really pushes people to get a store credit card all the time. It's getting so fucking annoying. Most people have enough credit cards already, so what's the deal with another one? Who needs it?
