There is a book everyone should read called THE HIGHLY SENSITIVE PERSON. A lot of shy people are highly sensitive and introverted, and the book gives methods of coping with this in a society where the majority of the population is not sensitive. There are also some extraverted highly sensitive people, so I think everyone could get something out of it.

I wouldn't say i was introverted, but i am sensitive, very, which probably is a large part of my shyness. so i might try it

I wouldn't say i was introverted, but i am sensitive, very, which probably is a large part of my shyness. so i might try it Oddly enough, I've read several theories on how sensitive people are in fact quite shy, because you have the tendency to be more attuned to how other people think, look, act and feel. You're also a bit more aware of your surroundings.
