I trust many of you know of Stephen Hawking (one of the greatest 20th century theoretical physicists). He's been suffering from ALS (a nasty neurological disease) since his youth. On this page he describes his disability: www.hawking.org.uk/text/disable/disable.htmlIn case you feel sorry for yourself and ask 'why me?' read that article. Here's the conclusion: Hawking is not only a great physicist but also an inspiration for all of us. He fought on no matter his ordeal ... and so should we.

he sounds like a great guy (i dont mean any disrespect to him by the next comments). I dont know if anyone agrees with me but sometimes those stories that are supposed to be inspirational are kind of deppressing to me. its like, if that person can do something amazing with no legs and i cant even do it with both my legs, what's wrong with me?

You don't know for sure that you won't achieve anything great ... you are not dead yet and till that moment you can do just what you want to. Ahh, all it takes is wanting it bad enough.
