Let us know how you get on with the book, Tiff. I came across an excellent book on overcoming anxiety in the library last week. It was a few years old but it was full of excellent practical advice. It was called 'Overcoming Shyness' by somebody callked Williams.

Hi Shan,
I will! :-)
Hopefully others here will have some other books and resources that can help!

Other books in the series look interesting. Please tell us if they work.

I highly recommend "Shyness: A Bold New Approach," by Bernardo Carducci. It made me realise the source of my low self-esteem, which I have struggled for many years to improve, is a result of my SA/shyness. And, doing the things to reduce my SA will improve my self-esteem.
There are sections on what shyness is, types (body, mind, self), shyness at different ages, and shyness in particular situations (love, work).
I found the book very helpful.

Another book that is good for guys with limited dating experience or SA in dating situations is "The Shy Guy's Guide to Dating," by Barry Dutter.
He covers everything from where to find women/girls, to the steps all the way through dating.

Wow thanks! I read a book called the Running Man a while back, which really touched me, it's fiction but I loved it, it's about a shy guy......
