I have to say i think there quite simply the greatest band EVER, the vocals of freddy mercury and the guitar skills of brian may are unbeatable, i love them there great, i wonder if they would still be together now if old fred hadnt like died heh, i reckon they would, still making top quality music, unlike all this pop idol rdy made crap.

i don't much listen to queen anymore, but i've always appreciated their music. i think it's funny how some peoples accents disappear when they sing.

Queen do rock big time. They were one of the first bands I got into through my dad's record collection when I was a kid. Freddie Mercury was one of the best front-men ever. Watching him with the crowd when they played Wembley Stadium was amazing. Must've been something else to have actually been there.
They do seem to have lost the plot a bit tho lately. I mean, performing with 5ive (sh*t British boy band) at the Brit Awards a few years back? Why oh why.....
And Brian May playing 'God Save The Queen' on top of Buckingham Palace at the Queen's Jubilee Concert. Very surreal.

I agree. There was talk of Robbie Williams taking Freddie's place if they ever toured but it just wouldn't work.

Robbie would be ideal as he looks gay and sings well, but it wouldnt work.
And i just downloaded, God save the queen by brian may live, and its great, he really is the best guitarist EVER he works it so well, gets great sounds, classic lol

My cousin strictly listens to Queen and Queen alone. As far as I know anyway.

Queen's hot or cold with me.. I either really like a song or really dislike it. Their "a night at the opera" album is a great example of this. In fact the song "the prophet's song" is one of my all-time favorites- with a haunting melody and some of the most inspiring guitarwork i've ever heard, yet Freddy goes off on this crazy vocal tangent halfway through the song which i have to FF through that kind of ruins it for me. Ghost: your cousin should seek help!

I am a fan of Queens music. I saw the rock muscial 'We Will Rock You' last year, a tribute to the bands music, which rocked.

Yes queen were a good band, I like some of their music. Although Bohemian Rhapsody is an overrated song (far from best song ever) and Brian May isnt the best guitarist ever, but he does have cool crazy hair! Can I also say that although manufactured rubbish dominates the singles charts these days music is as great as ever, check out the album chart for the greatest bands of today.
P.S. Personal fave guitarist = Tom Morello of RATM and Audioslave.
