Nah, an RPG like Fallout 2, or Planescape Torment. However, Black Isle Studios just closed. I've never been sad about a company closing before. It's like my favorite author died. I don't know the company other than the games, but I know I'm not going to see anymore games from that company.
Oh, and burgers are too greasy for me, usually.

I go for Halo, cuz it's the only one up on the list that I've ever played. Well no, actually I've played Age of Empires also, but I suck at that game, and I'm really good at Halo. But I prefere to play Unreal Tournament, and Warcraft2 and 3.

My over all favorite must be medival totalwar, but on this list; Rainbow six, I have spendt hours playing this game. And I almost forgott Baldurs gate, Baldurs gate 2: Shadows of Amn,Fallout1 and 2 and Planescape Torment , great games. I could list upp many more, but I think I'll let it be with that.

From the list probably go for C&C. My all time favorite game though..that would prob have to be "star trek: birth of the federation" most under-rated game of all time IMO(game is basically a star trek version of age of empires). ;D

I prefer RPGs too. Especially the Forgotten Realms ones. Never knew Black Isle Studios closed. If it's true, than it's a very sad news to me. But anyway, spitzig, don't worry overly. In this capitalistic society others would soon take BIS' place and possibly come with something better, more innoative or refreshing. And there's still Bioware to cary the torch ...
Oh, for me - Fallout II and Baldur's Gate II are the best.

Yeah, that innovative or refreshing doesn't mean I'll like them, though. For example Knights of the Republic was alright from an action standpoint, but weak from the "Control of Character" version of RPG standpoint. I tend to not like games that require fast finger movement on the keyboard or games that are too much about battle. But, recent RPGs seem to incorporate those characteristics more. Like, Lionheart sucked because it was too much battle without any auto-pause even. Though, I only played the demo.

Have you ever tried MMORPGs, spitzig? I never did - they are sort of expensive for a central european student, but they could appeal to you. About the single-player RPG turning too action-oriented I must unfortunately only agree. No longer are games made for fun but for money. No developers could live on profits from such a limited fan base - most 'younger' players prefer combat over storyline. Even Morrowind was a dissapointment in this respect

I think it didn't have enough people. But, for MMORPGs in general, I think the stuff that you do is just too much the same. The quests you go on are just a maze where you have to kill all the bad guys, maybe get an item. And, I think going hunting for experience in groups would get old, too. I concur about Morrowind. I've got it and I like it because it's a very immersive world. But, being fast on the keyboard is too important.
