I can't believe that Christopher Reeve is gone. He was Superman. Ever since I saw the first movie back in the late 70's, I have thought of him as my hero. When I saw his take on Clark Kent, I thought that he was the perfect role model for me. Clark, being terribly clumsy and shy, was just like me. What gave me hope for myself, though, was that he could take off his "shy" specs and turn into this amazing superhero capable of great things. How inspiring. Even after the acting gig was over, Christopter Reeve still inspired. He had a huge obstacle to overcome, but he never gave up hope! We should all follow his example. I'm sad he's gone , but let's all try to find the superheroes within ourselves.

I really was looking for a miracle, hoping he would walk again. He was such a great actor, it'll be a shame if he's only remembered for Superman. I remember one of his most powerful performances was as a child molester (can't remember the name of the movie) and after that, he became one of my favorites. Rest in Peace, Christopher Reeve. May God Be With You.

I agree Cactus - he is superman. Ever since I existed I've loved Superman - and when I was a kid - if it was on TV, it would please me more than gifts at Christmas - such was my excitement at the prospect of seeing the movies. Still the bright colours of the "S" fascinate me like when I was little.
It's unbelievable - at first, I seen his face on a news web page and immediately thought the news would be that he could walk.
And tonight - Superman was on TV, I watched it, it seemed sad this time though. At the end Superman smiled and flew away into space.
