You guys have to read this book, this is one of the very best books I have ever read in my life, it made me cry at how much I could relate to the main character. I'ts about a very shy and naive young woman that falls in love with a rich man named Maxim that just lost his first wife, Rebecca. They settle at his huge mansion where Rebecca lived, thats where our main character feels that all the servants, maids, and relatives of Maxim are watching her and judging her; but most importantly of all, comparing her to Rebecca. She is also convinced that just as much as she loves her husband, he is still that much in love with his first wife. She feels this way because of the evil house maid, Mrs Danvers terrorizes our narrator of real stories of what a great woman Rebecca was. The author, Daphne Du Maurier, really knows what shy people fear the most by putting this character into intense situations, from blushing to being the quiet one during dinner, this a great book for us and also for the other non-shy people so they can understand how we feel. There is this quote that I love in where our character says the she tries to overcome her shyness everyday but its hard, very hard. I highly recommed this book. There's also a movie that was made in 1940 by Alfred Hitchcock.

It sounds like a good book. I'll have to check that one out. And if Alfred Hitchcock made a movie about it, it must be pretty good. I love some of his old movies.

I thought Joan Fontaine was adorable in the movie.

I thought Joan Fontaine was adorable in the movie. Ah, yes, she got an oscar nomination for that role. Here's a picture of her and Mrs. Danvers.
