The White Stripes and Eminem. Detroit has not been kind to the music scene in the past few years.
Actually, in the case of Eminem, I can tolerate him in moderation, but he's just so damn ubiquitous that I get tired of him real quick.
But The White Stripes...that's the kind of "music" that makes me want to jam an icepick in my ear.

Hilary Duff. She just annoys me and her songs sound way too bubblegum pop. And Usher (sorry if any of you are big fans of his), just because he's overyplayed and whenever I actually see music videos on TV it's his. I particularly didn't care for his song he did with Alicia Keys, which I was surprised about. Their music isn't necessarily awful to me, it's just not my taste and I don't care for it. Also, I don't like Rod Stewart. I hate his voice. And just in general, I hate hard rock or metal music and don't care for rap. Other than that, I honestly do have a pretty broad taste in music, though. Even so, I'm sure there's plenty of bands or artists out there I could single out, I just don't know about them or can't think of them at the moment.

ug how about britney spears? a talentless singer who charges lots to see her lip sync her songs and dance and change her outfit every song. go away britney. I do agree. She's very overrated and not very good. However, I'm ashamed to have to admit that I actually have her first two cds...waste of money by the way....which you probably already know...lol. I was like twelve when I got the first one, because she seemed "cool" and popular and I once tried to like what other kids my age were into. I only got the second one as a recommendation from a friend because she had gotten it and said she loved it. At the time I only liked her three most popular songs from her first cd and thought like maybe one or two were okay from the second one. I do actually like her one kind of recent one "Toxic", but oh well. Like you probably wanted to hear all of that. I'm just never going to buy any of her other cds again. I just want to stick to the music that I know I like now. I don't go out and buy cds just because other people my age have bought them and rave about them anymore. So basically, most of my cds aren't what you would expect a "normal" teenager to have. But I'm glad about that, because now I can be myself and stick to the real music that I actually enjoy. Hmm...sorry I always write so much everyone.

I hate, and I mean HATE, Robbie Williams. I think it's developing into something quite serious to be honest. Some people dislike him because he can come across as being arrogant. I dislike him because his songs are utter crap. WheelsWithinWheels - I completely agree with the aversion to the White Stripes. One of the most overrated bands at the mo. A mate of mine went to T in the Park last year, and chose to watch the White Stripes over Muse (one of the best bands around at the minute), a decision he is still trying to recover from, poor misguided fool. Also liking the ice-pick imagery, conjures up the feeling of hearing one of their songs nicely. And StrawberrySweetie - don't worry about writing so much, this forum is a great place to vent any pent-up feelings; even if they are regarding repressed emotions about buying a Britney Spears CD. Seriously, that is a major reason why I have hardly posted here, after being a member for a couple of years: Fear of rambling on and not knowing when to stop typing. And I think I've just proved my own point with the above drivel

The only artist that comes to mind for me is Britney Spears. Most types of music I like, or can at least tolerate.
I hate techno though, that makes me wanna stick needles in my eyes
