Heres a new poem I wrote, enjoy:
Quicksand-
In steps of slowly grasping quicksand, Her face beams a pure light. You pull one leg, then another. Only further and further down.
The yellow mush engulfing Every thought, every emotion. Your eyes glaze over in fear, As she seems so distant. Soon it reaches your chest, your neck. The world on shaky ground. She looks away in disgust, As you struggle.
The sand's rough grains, Flowing into your mouth, Choking the words away. And her figure disappears Into the light.
Darkness as your eyes burn. Your chest pressed down With the weight of your own mind. The pressure slowly taking away Everything hoped.
Then it happens, a quick Snap. You cease And the world continues, No one knows or cares. You were there? Who?

I like your poem. Congrats on having the guts to share it with strangers. I also write poetry, but I don't have the guts. It's really good. Care to share more?
