Luther, if you like the action scenes then surely DS9 got better not worse, with all the battles and everything. As for all you Quantum Leap fans, you will be pleased to know (or not, depending on how well it is carried out) that there will be a made-for-TV movie, before a new series. Scott Bakula probably won't be in it though. I doubt it'll be half as good as the original. Don't hold your breath on this!

I really liked alot of DS9 but wasn't the main guy, Sisko or what not meant to be some sort of prophet? I really, really don't like stories about 'chosen ones'. They just make me cringe for some reason. Still I did like alot of it. If I'm honest I can't remember much now. Such a long time since I have seen it. I hope the new Quantum Leap is good. I think the best thing about the series was the characters. Lets pray they don't go for action (I know I'm a hypocrite ;D) and good looks over character and story.

Wow, old post, but I'll give my 2 cents anyway. lol
I voted for Star Trek, but I'm also a huge Doctor Who fan. I'm sad to see David Tennant leaving after this year, but I'm really curious about what Matt Smith will bring to the character. I really hate his Doctor's choice of outfit though. That's gonna take some getting used to.
As far as Star Trek goes, my favorite series is Voyager, followed by TNG, DS9, TOS, and Enterprise. Actually I've only seen a few episodes of Enterprise, but I've watched every episode of all other series'.
The only other sci-fi show I can think of of that I've watched was Babylon 5, which I really only got on dvd so I could become familiar with the actors before attending a sci-fi convention that was going to have three former cast members... I watched a few episodes of it and it seemed okay, but I still haven't got around to watching the entire first season yet, even though I've had the dvds for 3 or 4 years now. lol
I consider myself a big sci-fi fan, yet for some reason I have a hard time getting into most sci-fi shows. Thankfully the two longest running sci-fi series', Doctor Who and Star Trek, have produced enough shows to keep me entertained for the rest of my life without ever growing tired of them. lol
