I'm not particularly enthusiastic abou the upcoming election, mostly because I don't see anything happening no matter who wins. There are a few candidates who I like however, like Harold Ford Jr in Tennessee (I'm going to be in TN all next week and I hope to catch him at a campaign stop). Here in Ohio we've got a couple of good Democrats. Ted Strickland (who used to be my rep) is running for governor against Ken Blackwell, one of the nastiest politicians I've ever known. Fortunately, it looks like Strickland is going to win- he's from one of the reddest parts of Ohio, and he's very popular there. I also like Sherrod Brown, who's running against Mike DeWine ( this handsome fellow) in our Senate race. Overall, though, I'm not exactly beaming with excitement over a Democratic victory...I think Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid are two of the biggest wimps in Congress and I can't see them standing up to Bush, Cheney and Rove. Thoughs? (PS- People in Texas, please do me a favor and vote for Kinky. It would be awesome to have him for a governor.)

I'm a Texan voter, but I'm not sure who will get my vote for governor. I really don't like any of the candidates.
I doubt Kinky Friedman will win though, he's probably just going to split the vote for (Democrat) Chris Bell.

Sorry Buzz, i actually met Kinky Dumbass when he came to our school last year, and listened to his yammering all day long. I was not particularly impressed. I definitely will not be voting for him. Likely i'll either vote for Bell or Perry. They probably more ability to actually do things in the state. Although, i must say that being Governor of Texas means nothing in the long run. The Texas Constitution structures the Govenor to have the same amount of power as the Vice Govenor and the secretaries. So it's a powerless title.
