What's all the fighting about PC's being better. I keep hearing this everywhere. For the average user who wants to do and create stuff Any type of computer is ok.
i've had macs all the time, and it doesn't bother me at all. The only obstacles i've encountered is not having the same software that pc users have, but then again macs have similar stuff so that we don't need it. I hear that PC's are better for gaming, well who wants acomputer just for games. and if we do.. i'm not that picky to want super fast 3D games, i can just play tic tac toe in my mac.. i mean we're adults, well i am. So if we have a strong mind, we can do without al lthis entertainment. All that matters is that the basic Text Editor, web browser, audio programs , graphics programs.. and utilities are available. and THEY are. so who cares if my mac can't play those PC games. I understand people in companies who may want pc's over macs because they need stuff that macs don't have.. but your average user, can get anything. Thats my opinion. Unless your picky as hell, then any computer is fine. It depends on what you want to create, I don't base it on weather i can play super fast games.

By the way i'm saying this because as you may already know , if you compare the number of people with macs to the number of people with PC's, pc's( with windows) rule in USA and even in japan. And i'm willing to bet that many of those that bought PC's did it cause they followed the collective mindset that says Macs are toys, not real computers for serrious users.

Although not as often as I used to I sometimes like to play some of the recent(ish) games so I will stick with the PC. I'm sure the mac is very nice but a windows PC is the one most used and therefore offers the highest compatibility.
The amount of times I see a mac user on various forums complaining that "why doesn't X work on my mac" convinces me that the only way I'd ever get one would be in addition to having a windows PC.

From the shows I watch on Tech TV I believe that Macs are better for people that want to create things. My sept-brother bought a Mac because it has better programs for his Drama projects for school. I have a PC that is just for super fast 3D games which I enjoy more than watching TV unless CSI or Prison Break is on. I find gaming more mentally stimulating than just sitting in front of a TV that you can not interact with

I have a Mac and love it! I own a black macbook at the moment. I'll never buy a windows pc as long as macs are still being made. I've always used them and they are really reliable and last much longer on average than the normal pc.
I agree that if you're into gaming they probably are not for you, but the new intel based macs now even let you use windows on them, so you could still load windows on it and play all the windows based games.
They are a little more expensive than some pc's, but you are paying for much higher quality.

I love my mac! As long as you've got a machine, who cares! But when I got the mac, PCs just went out the window for me, I love how organized macs are, they're so nice and clean!

Linux is pretty awesome. None of the bad stuff about Windows (spyware, slowness, crashes...) and runs on any PC, and is free. Lots of ppl dual-boot windows with it to play games/get mandatory windows work done.
I admit it's a bit geek-oriented, but the versions that emphasize single-users (Ubuntu for example) only are a bit of trouble at first to get all the necessary software (mp3-capable media player, archive tool, certain drivers, basically stuff that has to do with proprietary hardware/file formats). Then it's even easier to use than Windows cuz anything I want I can get via the package system (a desktop program connected to the net) and it's sure to be the right version. No searching around.
