Wouldn't call myself a fan, but I have read the first book, and it wasn't as bad as some people told me it was. Certainly an interesting take on vampires.
I intend on reading New Moon at some point, and I'll probably go see the movie.

went to see 'twilight' in the theatre tonight. this was a visually beautiful film. sensual and riveting, with fantastic atmosphere. i'm no film expert, but this movie seemed to do new things with the camera that were really mesmerizing. i thought the story, acting, and dialogue were pretty decent too. it's a twist on the romeo & juliet romance genre. kind of a romantic action thriller. the movie is getting hammered by the critics, from what i've seen. but in many cases, they seem to me to be missing the point. the director was female - catherine hardwicke. i think the female perspective was evident, but perhaps not in predictable ways. i'll definitely be keeping an eye out for her future films after seeing this one. i recommend seeing it in the theatre, because i think to be fully appreciated you would have to see it on the large screen with a good theatre sound system.

i f ound the first twilight book boring. it's a classic story told by a very dull writer and with too much cheese. The movies are awful i got really sore eyes after watching new moon. they were sore because i spent the whole time rolling them.

Last summer I went to a mall (a rare occasion) with my sister & brothers. One of my brothers wanted to go to the Hot Topic store to look at band t-shirts, so we went in and I had no idea these books and movies were such a big deal. So I was walking around the store and I find myself in an aisle surrounded with posters, stationary, t-shirts with those teenage vampires on them. I turned to my sister and said "Oh my gosh, I think we have entered "The Twilight Zone".
