I forgot all about Afraid of the Dark...I loved that show. I remember one episode where a guy was trapped in a mall and being chased by this massive ball.

I can't remember...so are so many clown things, It is the main thing that comes to mind when I hear/see clown.
I remember one about an alien and another one about a guy who bought a box with a genie in it at an antique shop.

I often watch Roseanne and All in the Family episodes.
All in the family had been off the air for 10 years by the time I was born, yet I still enjoy the show.
Carroll O'Conner was simply fantastic.
I sometimes catch episodes of Who's the Boss.

I think it's on the Sci-Fi Channel. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air I love Lucy Animaniacs (watched it with a little pal) Family Matters

I've been watching television since 1965, so this list will be long!!! I might have to do two posts since I don't have a lot of time.
Okay - 60s - I watched: Green Acres, Family Affairs, The Flying Nun, Bugs Bunny Road Runner Hour, Ed Allen's Exercise, The Galloping Gormet (Yeah, I watched EVERYTHING when I wasn't eating, sleeping, or triking, lol!!!), etc.
70s (list is exhaustive) - The Partridge Family, The Brady Bunch, Johnny Socco and His Flying Robot - this one I enjoyed a lot!!!, Looney Tunes/Merry Melodies, etc.; The Flintstones, KidStuff (a foursome music group of 12-year old Canadian kids' variety show Saturdays 11 am - they were my "mentors" at the time in my pre-music interest years before I'd really gotten into rock and roll; M*A*S*H* 4077th; Maude; Sanford and Son (which Peachtree TV still has on); All in the Family; etc. etc. plus other types of shows like adventure and scifi, etc. Star Trek, The Six Million Dollar Man/Bionic Woman; Man From Atlantis; Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, etc. and more....
80s - Diff'rent Strokes; Square Pegs (Sarah Jessica Parker played Patty in this one); Double Trouble, the Cosby Show, My Two Dads - oh yeah, another one from the 70s still on in the early 80s: One Day at a Time. Also, Knight Rider, V-The Series, the A-Team, Dukes of Hazzard, Hotel, Hart to Hart, etc. etc.
90s - from '89 spin-off from Cosby "A Different World"; Blossom, Alf (might have started in the 80s, but I never missed it, boy oh boy did he love to chase Lucky the cat!!!); and I'm sure there's more that I might put on at another time, but my time is nearly up on this computer (library).

....and to continue on and on and on lol..... some of the shows that have been posted already I also watched; namely: "Saved by the Bell" (yes, I'd watched the one where they went to Hawaii ; The Golden Girls (no, I've never seen "The Golden Palace"); Happy Days; Laverne & Shirley (which I personally liked better than I liked Happy Days - boy, oh boy, what scrapes those girls got into, eh?! ha ha); Bewitched (one of the ones I'd seen when I was very little in the 60s); Beverly Hillbillies; etc. I myself loved little House on the Prairie, though I must admit when it first came out, it seemed to me like a "western" so I couldn't get into it; but later in the late 70s/early 80s I fell in love with the show; I liked especially Laura's adventures and the episodes with her and Nellie; and when she and Nellie were interested in Almanzo; and also the episode where Nellie falls in love with Pervical, etc. (Nothing wrong with westerns, of course, I remember Bonanza coming on our tv also when I was very young, though I don't think I watched it, lol!) I watched Dawson's Creek back when it first came out, but when it got to the later seasons, I lost interest. Outer Limits, lol - just about my favourit show of all time, except for the Star Treks - I watch it twice a day usually unless I have somewhere I have to go/something I must do. Some episodes I like are: Dead Man's Switch; Stream of Consciousness; the one with the Deal or No Deal host who played a savant who used a machine to increase his brainpower or intelligence; I've seen "Quality of Mercy" this week, but the ending disappointed me. There's many others, but I just can't remember the titles, lol! Anything on OL about time travel is my absolute fave!!! Star Trek OS and Star Trek The Next Generation are my favourite series of these. I like twilight zone also; and last night Outer Limits had a sort of (imo) similar "scent" episode-wise to one of the TZ's episodes (can't remember the titles, though). About an old second-hand store. The ending was happy though. The old guy running the place looked like the same guy who played a time traveler in one or two OL episodes. I love Lucy; the Honeymooners - the latter is my favourite between these 2 - both definite classics of course!!! Bang! Zoom! To the Moon, Alice! LOL!!! And I'm sure there's more I like from over 40 years of tv watching, lol.

My favourite old show would be "The Prisoner" from 1967. If you haven't seen it, you may have seen the simpsons episode where Homer gets sent to "the Island" for being Mr. X., and is chased down by an anti escape orb. I was able to get all the DVDs of it from my public library and watch it that way. It was a very original show, it was on the surface a sciFi/spy show but also had very important messages about government, society, individuality, etc...
They are remaking it this year.
Twilight Zone, Star Trek and lots of others mentioned above are also really good.

I forgot all about Afraid of the Dark...I loved that show. I remember one episode where a guy was trapped in a mall and being chased by this massive ball. Holy Crap, I totally remember that episode! It was the one where he got stuck in some crazy guy's pinball machine, and had to progress through it like a real life video game. I still remember him breaking open a water gun display, cause apparently, water melted the bad guys.

Wow. It sounds like audiophyl watches a lot of tv! I came across this, which I found interesting. www.csun.edu/science/health/docs/tv&health.html9 years of solid TV? I do watch a fair bit of tv myself, but one thing that's different about me is I almost never watch commercials anymore. I either change the channel, or I record stuff on the hard drive (I have a DVR), so that I can skip them. The internet pretty much competes with tv for my time. My basement is set up such that I can browse the web and watch TV at the same time. The couch where I lie down is about 2 steps away from the computer.
