Hey all,
I've been reading alot of books on dating and social interactions and what not, and a term I have come over repeatedly is the notion of becoming more talkative. Some sources say that you have to get into the mood, others say that it is a gradual process. I am not sure how to improve this aspect. There is a difference between being talkative in a compelling manner and then there is talking to the point that people will just outright avoid you. Has anyone found a sticking point where they notice a marked improvement in their ability to start and hold an interesting conversation?

For me I felt that it's been a gradual process. I think what has helped me most is working in customer service. Omg when I started I don't think I spoke much of anything to the customers. My boss even told me that they weren't sure they were going to hire me because they thought I was too shy. lol But it's gotten a lot better. I work in the pharmacy now and in there you have to talk to the customers because you have to relay all the required information to them. At first I felt so scared to say anything because I was worried I would say it wrong etc...but over time I've gotten more confident. I'm able to start a conversation wow!
