dont you find it terribly difficult at lunch/break with work colleagues. I mean i do as im quiet

I do too. I feel extremely uncomfortable. It's like I'm under pressure to chat or be interesting or something.
the more I think about it the more I resent other people

That's why I've got into this habit of going out of the office for lunch and spending it on my own. Sometimes the group office have a Fish and Chips day but I back out of it because I just don't feel comfortable within the group. I kinda think if I did join in, it would be like I wasn't there anyway!

Wow, I can relate at some point, since I'm quite a loner myself.
But gradually, I now tend to go along with them during lunch time and just eat normally. If the conversation is something which I can relate, then I also talk. If none, then I just eat.

i always feel pressure to saystuff so i end up gossiping even though i shouldn't simply because i feel i need to fill in the space. I think i'm a lot better with my shyness but my biggest issue is i get stressed if there is silence and i blame myself so i start blabbing..

I only find it difficult when I'm forced into attending a company lunch and have no one to talk to. Other than that, I look forward to lunch time.
