my manageress in the charity shop i work in keeps asking about what i want to do. Im sure she means well, but i never know how to answer her. I mean she will ask about whether i have thought about moving away to look for work and about wanting things out of life like a car etc. I was forced to work in the charity shop a condition of being out of work for so long and i have really found it enjoyable and i have said i want to stay on to help volunteer but having suffered from social anxiety for so long i dont really have a plan so to speak for the future, i just do what i have got to do to survive. I dont want a car. All i really want out of life is to not worry about what other people think so much.

Sometimes, most people ask these kinds of questions harmlessly and they only meant well, but for us, they can be prying and annoying. But just don't take it personally. Maybe they're just curious

I've answered that question with an "I don't know. I guess I'll figure it out as I go along."
