This email was sent into me today by a girl from a TV company:
My name is Louise and I am contacting you from a Television Production Company called Endemol UK. I have been reading about your website, SHY and I would be most interested in talking to you about it. We are currently producing a 15 part series for Discovery Health called The Life Guru. The programme is based on a man called Alistair Horsecroft who is a funky, young Life Coach. So far in the series we have featured people with different confidence issue and phobias, for example we filmed an actress who was petrified of auditions, who after spending 2 days with Alistair had found her confidence levels had completely changed and she performed amazingly well at an audition. We have also included and successfully cured a man with a fear of trains and a lady who couldn't go to job interviews. We would very much like to include a programme on dating, featuring someone who is shy and has trouble finding the confidence to meet new people. I have read on your site that you also run a dating agency. If you could suggest anyone that is London based and that may be keen to meet our Life Coach and would like to try and get over their shyness then please contact me, needless to say it would also be a wonderful plug for your new company!
I look forward to hearing from you
Kind Regards

I think they're going to have a hard job finding someone shy to appear on television.

I don't know. I'd do it, if I weren't a few thousand miles from where they want someone. It's actual conversation that's my problem. Not much problem with that when someone is asking me all the questions or just telling me stuff.

Conversation is a big problem for many of us. It sounds like a great opportunity for someone to get some free help. The word free is my second favourite word in the English - behind soccer.
