Hey folks, I just wanted some feedback as to an idea I'm tossing around. I am planning to charter a webring/internet club devoted to our American Musical heritage (and, if you're from the UK, sorry about this post!) Essentially I want to create an online forum for lovers of American traditional/old timey music. This can include everything from country blues to bluegrass to traditional country to traditional jazz to traditional Cajun to...The format would resemble to some degree the format here at our beloved Shyunited, as I'm fond of this layout, and there will be a sign up policy, yadda yadda. The club would be predicated on learning as much as on discussion between conoisseurs of this music. So, while there will be chances for interested parties to post creative or critical writings pertinent to Trad. American music, there would also be a benison placed on further research. I'd include links to blues.org, loc.gov, and provide bibliographies as well as the contents of my own collection. Anyway, I'm not as internet literate as all of you. Tell me: Would I find like minds should I undertake this project?
