As shy as I am, I would love to meet up with people who are near me. I love people but I am too shy to get to know anyone, really. On the computer, though, that is a different story! I don't act shy on the PC.
Anyway....my name is No Name 2 Shy. I have self esteem issues. Don't need a psychiatrist, I am not in need of medicine. Don't need a psychologist, I major in it myself, and my problem isn't going to be cured with someone listening to me blab.
I grew up skinny and beautiful. Had a chance to be a model but the guy I was with said he would leave me. I was a co-dependent. I passed up the chance.
I bore children and became fat and ugly. (Mixed in with some depression over losing close loved ones, I gained weight.)
Needless to say, I have been fat now for 15 years and I hate it. I kick my ass every day for letting me get this way.
That's my story... :)
So...anyone in California ?

Ah, the anonymity of the Internet. It gives the Lion his Metal of Honor (a take from the Wizard of Oz).
"I have self esteem issues. Don't need a psychiatrist, I am not in need of medicine. Don't need a psychologist, I major in it myself"
What I’m about to do is called TOUGH LOVE, not to be confused with Holier Than Thow.
"I major in it myself"
And as such, you should know that one can never diagnose oneself.
Maybe you could benefit from a visit to a psychiatrist, maybe you wouldn’t. It is not my place to say. But your statement raises a big red flag to me.
I speak from experience my friend.
I have worked extensively with Alcoholics and the Mentally Ill over the last 15 years. I even counseled inmates at the local prison for 6 years.
I'm just saying... be careful not to apply your education in Counseling, and or Mental Health upon your self.
I have seen many people that were too proud to admit that they had psychiatric problems... and some of them followed this denial into the grave.
I'm not saying that this applies to you... I'm just saying... be careful of self diagnosis.
