I've been looking for a therapist or support group that specializes in shyness (or, as most psychologists prefer to call it, "social anxiety") for a LONG time. I have found a few reputable-sounding clinics that treat social anxiety, but unfortunately, none of them are located anywhere near me. I live in Pennsylvania, and the closest one I've found is in New York! This wouldn't be a big problem if I had the money for a long trip; unfortunately, I don't.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Also, has anyone had actual experience with a social anxiety specialist?

I can give you their names, if you'd like. I'm not sure to what degree they specialized in shyness, but I'm thinking one of them did somewhat, anyway.
