This post is particulary for NewOrleansLady as she asked me to give her feedback on the speech I have to do.
For anyone who doesn't know I'm in my final week of a 12 week college course and I have to give a speech in the college lecture theatre this Wednesday, explaining what I was like before the course, what I learnt from the course and what i'm doing next.
I haven't done it yet as its this Wednesday but I thought id keep you updated, i'm not as nervous about it now as I was because we have been practicing it alot, and i've done everything right so far ie spoke clearly, maintained eye contact with the "audience" e.t.c. although i'm getting slightly nervous as it draws nearer.
Anyway thats all I have to say for now, i'll let you know on Wednesday/Thursday how I got on

It sounds like you will do fine. Whenever I had to do a speech in calss I used to tell myself that even the most outgoing person in the class is nervous for thier speech. Granted, I was probably the most nervous or it at least felt that way. Giving a speech is a tough thing to do and I went to a college where it was manditory to take a speech class so there was no way around it. Thankfully the teacher recognized that most people have a hard time giving a speech and had ways of making it a more comfortable environment on days when a student had a speech to give. thanks for the support, i've done my speech and it went fine ;D I was a little nervous but I didn't make any mistakes so i'm very happy
