WORDS BY KING BOB DYLAN
You got a lot of nerve, To say you are my friend, When i was down, You just stood their grining, You got a lot of nerve, To say your've got a helping hand to lend, You just to be on the side thats winning, You say i let you down, You know its not like that, If your so hurt, Why then dont you show it, You say you lost your faith, But thats not where its at, You have no faith to loose, And you know it, I know the reason that you talk behind my back, I used to be among the crawd your in with, Do you take me for such a fool, To think i'd make contact, With the one who trys to hide, When it dont know to begin with, You see me on the street, You allways act surprised, You say how are you, good luck, But you dont mean it, When you know as well as me, You'd rather see me paralized, Why dont you just come out once, And scream it, No i dont half feel that good, Whan i see the heartbreaks you embrace, If i was a master thief, Perhaps i'd rob them, And allthough i know your dissatisfied, With your possision and your place, Don't you understand, Its not my problem, I wish that for just one time, That you could stand inside my shoes, And just for that one moment, I could be you, Yes i wish that for just one time, You could stand inside my shoes, You'd know what a drag it is to be you.

Up on Cripple Creak THE BAND
A D When I get off of this mountain, you know where i want to go? A Strait down the Mississippi river, to the Gulf of Mexico A To Lake Charles, Louisiana, little Bessie, girl that i once knew A She told me just to come om by, if there's anything she could do
A Up on Cripple Creak she sends me D If i spring a leak she mend me E I don't have to speak, she defends me F#m A drunkard's dream if i ever did see one
Good luck had just stung me, to the race track i did go She bet on one horse to win and i bet on another to show The odds were in my favor, i had 'um five to one When that nag to win came around the track, sure enough she had one
I took up all my winnings, and i gave my little Bessie half And she tore it up and threw it in my face, just for a laugh Now there's one thing in the whole wide world, i sure would like to see That's when that little love of mine, dips her doughnut in my tea
Now me and my mate were back at the shack, we had Spike Jones on the box She said, "i cant take the way he sings, but i love to hear him talk" Now that just gave my heart a throb, to the bottom of my feet And i swore and i took another pull, my Bessie can't be beat
Now there'e a flood out in California and up north it's freazing cold And this living on the road is getting pretty old So i guess i'll call up my big mama, tell her i'll be rolling in But you know, deep down, i'm kind of tempted To go see my Bessie again

I'd certainly agree with that! Where can I get a copy of this hymn book?
