Hi all, I had my first session of hypnosis a few days ago and already i can feel some changes - obviously im not a completely different person but i definately feel a lot calmer when i talked to people at work the next day - i didnt feel anxious inside. We had a staff meeting that day and i didnt really speak up much but maybe that will come with time - trying to look on the bright side which is the whole point of hypnosis replaying negative thoughts with positive thought in your subconscious mind. I did a course in meditation the previous year which i really think helped me get into the hypnosis state. Just a tip if anyone is thinking of doing it. Meditation and hypnosis are quite similar in that they require you to become relaxed in the beginning but unlike meditation which helps you to remain relaxed throughout the session, hypnosis can be quite confrontational which i found. I must admit i wasnt as relaxed in the session as i would have been in a meditation session probably due to the circumstances but i still definately experienced a lot of the common reactions. If you have any question feel free to email me. I hope this helps someone out there...

Great Riles100. I hope you'll keep us up to date on any progress or what happens with your hypnosis session. I'd like to try hypnosis again, but this time really concentrate on it. Last time, I went to a hypnotherpist. But I really just liked talking to her and I think I liked the talking therpy more and paid more attention to that. Hopefully, I'll find a real good hypnotherpist next time and do good. MerePhantom, as far as I'm concerned, I wouldnt mind if the hypnotherpy messed me up a little since I am so sick of being introverted and shy anyway. Anyway, do what's right for yourself.
Take care.

Thanks.
