I go to a lot of message boards, mostly for bands I like etc.

and there is always rude people there flaming me for my opinion... but this is different.

I guess I don't give my opinion here, it is more like I share my story type of thing.

That's why I like it - here I can really let my front down and say what I'm thinking and feeling. Sometimes I might feel a bit silly later, like I've over-dramatised things, but what the hell, that's what I was feeling, so why not say it...?

I agree. I've been to lots of other forums on different websites and others can be nasty. I usually don't write anything because I'm scared somebody might give me a nasty response with a bunch of vulgar words. I'm new to this website and I feel comfortable.
