Hello!! O.K., I know this may seem like a dumb question, but I just gotta ask it. Where is the best place to meet shy guys?? I'm a shy girl myself, but I always force myself to be social around people that are as shy as myself (or else we will just sit there and twiddle our thumbs! LOL). I tried the library, but I feel uncomfortable breaking someone's concentration to hit on them! I found quite a few at video game conventions, but they were too focused on their precious Resident Evil games. Any thoughts or ideas?? Thanks!

Just some random thoughts. Go to a computer lab/cafe/whatever, feign a problem on your computer, and approach a shy-looking guy who you're interested in and ask for help. Maybe try to initially sit next to or near him. It's a computer lab, so what's he's probably not going to be doing something really important and wouldn't mind having his "concentration broken". Also, guys love helping girls, so he'll probably jump at the opportunity. And from there you can start chatting about anything because it's a perfect opportunity. umm.....that's all I can think of for now. Maybe pull some similar ideas from that one. And Resident Evil is so 1996.

If you can hit on guys, then hit on every guy that looks interesting everywhere you go. Some percentage of them are bound to be shy, and you may find some of the ones who aren't shy to be interesting anyway.

being hit on by a girl is about the only thing that i could forgive someone breaking my concentration in a video game for although you'll definitely score points if you watch him play quietly for a few minutes and look for a "break in the action". if you do cause the guy to lose a life or something, offer to owe him a token you could try hanging out at your local "comics and games" shop, the kind of place that sells d&d and magic there's almost guaranteed to be single, lonely, socially inept guys there (i'm one of them). look around the gaming tables, find a game that looks fun, and ask a guy to teach you how to play... you might have to wait till a tournament is over, but most gamers are more than happy to "turn someone to the dark side" of their game of choice.

You are most likely to find a shy guy in a library, a computer room, or walking down hallways.

If I was by myself in a library and a girl came up to talk to me, that would be the coolest thing to happen to me in a long while. Don't be afraid to do it. sometimes I go to the library HOPING someone comes to talk to me. as for where to find shy guys? I can't speak for everyone, but I know that I'll usually be hiding on the roof of a tall building or inside a garbage can... or underground... just joking.

Library is a good place to go, or maybe even some cafes which have designated areas for reading etc. Video Game / Anime type conventions aren't the best place really to pick up shy guys. Most of the guys there I've noticed are just too into that kinda thing (geeky) and don't really enjoy social contact and stuff. The girls at these things are usually VERY social but weird.
PS - of course there are a large number of people who are exceptions to the above case. don't want to offend anyone.

trust me, those geeky guys who are VERY into that stuff like social contact just fine... if it's with a cute girl who's also into that stuff.
